What a season it was for Kate and the future is very bright - a name we will be hearing a lot going forward. Great stuff.

The team was established with the primary objective being to provide a platform for rider development, together with the necessary support. Success to the team is ensuring all riders do develop and ultimately progress to the upper echelons of the sport. For most riders that will be delivered over 2-3 seasons, depending on starting experience, but Kate Richardson is no ordinary rider. In 2022, her first full season focused on cycling (she was a triathlete), Kate had a phenomenal season and a meteoric rise, which was rewarded with a contract to the GB senior academy last October. She has now been further rewarded with a transfer to . Kate was a key member of the team last season and will be sorely missed by all, but this is great news and epitomises what the team is all about. She is a very special and incredibly talented bike rider, who has an exciting career ahead. Best wishes from all at Alba, we'll miss ya.

A great day out in Aberdeen yesterday for the Scottish crit champs, a stripey jersey for the new champ Kate Richardson and a deserved silver for Arianne Holland A great event with lots of racing, activities and a good crowd (weather helped 😎). Congrats to Colin Allanach, Martin Harris and team for an extremely well organised event.

A stunning performance in a debut season.

Thats a wrap for the for 2022. It's been a frantic three weeks of racing, seven rounds in seven cities across the UK. A stunning performance from the team in their first season, delivering a highly commendable 4th place overall in a top quality field. There have been ups, downs and some bad luck, without which the overall result could have been better, given the top teams in the latter rounds were only separated by tenths of seconds. It has been a delight seeing these girls gel and progress throughout the series. All of them are a credit to the team, onwards, the future is very bright.
