First match of the season against Grimsby Borough Warriors (6-2) ⚽

While it wasn't the result we wanted we definitely shook the cobwebs off from our off season and managed to dial in for an action packed 2nd half!

We ended the first half 6-0 down with a few uncharacteristic mistakes and paid the price, but we never let it get our heads down, we limped into half time and then came out in the style we are used to! we held strong and didn't concede all 2nd half while we managed to get Leo up the pitch to slot away two clinical goals 🥶

Managers Player of the match - Dan for brilliant movement during the game and managing to leave no blade of grass untouched (After he got some boots 👀)

Coaches Player of the Match - Elliot for bringing his well known aggression into his tackling and becoming an opponents worst night mare (even though he's about 3 foot tall!)

Parents Player of the Match - Jacob for coming into an unfamiliar position (he's usually found much further up the pitch) and showing that being small doesn't mean you are any less of a threat in defense

Players Player of the Match (Oh yeah, We thought they should get a say to!😉) - Keano for showing that even though he's the youngest player on the team, he approaches every match with absolute determination, showing his class and the fact he can send the ball into lower atmosphere with those magic feet😅

We go again next week Pilgrims against Discoveries Colts!

This weekends fixtures for Pilgrims!

This weekends Fixtures for all ages groups.

Plenty of football across both days and lots going on at the Home of Immingham Pilgrims Roval Drive.
The U13s Ladies kick us off with a home fixture against Grimoldby, while the U13s Colts make the short journey to Whitgift Academy to take on GCW Town.

Sunday sees two games at Roval Park, with the U8s looking to start strong playing a year up in the Orange league and the U12s take on GCW Mariners in a very popular age group with teams spread over 6 leagues. A 3rd game only a stones throw away at Coomb Briggs Primary school sees the U10s Colts host Catenaccio.

Both the U11s and the U14s have venue changes as they await Blossom Way being available.

The Linden Club host both the U9s and U10s as they take on Clee Town teams from their respective ages.

The U8 Colts travel to Taylors Ave to play Catenaccio U8s while the U12 Colts have the furthest to travel, making the journey to Humberston Academy to play Grimsby Boro, playing on the 3g will make the journey worth while.

Well what a proud moment that was for our team to take part in the crofts league tournament and got our selves a medal ... all the hard work the kids do pays of .. you all need to be very proud of yours selves as we are. .. now lets bring on next season .

Massive congratulations to every player from the Immingham Pilgrims Under 11 Colts Me and Michael Fisher are so proud of every leap, bound and goal you guys achieve together as a team, tonight gave us the ability to congratulate you all for your efforts this season, The fact you all took to the stage to thank me and Mick for our time working with you brought tear to our eyes!

What a season colts! Enjoy your trophies you've all EARNED THEM!

Colts U11's Vs Mariners U11's

What a way to sign off the end of the season with an end result of 4 - 1!

The Colts showed today just how far they have come this season by taking control from the first whistle, the mariners weren't going to let this be a walk in the park and it produced probably one of the best games of football we've had all season.

⚽️ Goals from Leo and Archie let us bring this home.

We are unbelievably proud of the season all the players have had and we can't wait for next season!

Now onto the warm ups for next season as we become Immingham Pilgrims Colts U12's

Immingham Pilgrims U11 Colts Vs Catenaccio U11

End result 3-1 to Catenaccio

While the result didn't go our way, every one of our players can hold their heads high as you never gave in until the final whistle!

The conditions were cold and windy and we went 1-0 down in the first 15 minutes, but the mentality of all of our players never let defeat enter their mind for a second and we quickly equalized as Baileys cross found Archie waiting and ready to put it away ⚽️

We then had a mishap during a corner against us and one of our players scored their first goal against our own keeper 😂 (Mistakes happen!) We quickly congratulated our player and the game recommenced but shortly after half time Catenaccio managed to bag another goal leading to the end result.

The big take aways from this game was much like how our first EVER season has gone - We came back from defeats and never let our heads drop! we've had success and losses, mistakes and laughs! as the end of the season rapidly approaches, If you'd have told the parents and coaching team that we would end this season with 2 x Tournament 2nd places, multiple wins and a shot at the challenge cup? We'd have snapped your hand off! But it was the players giving 120% on the pitch every time they pulled on our team shirt, The parents always showing huge support to every player and Mick's Saturday training telling offs, and the amount of times that I have to tie up laces (I think they do it on purpose 🤣) that made this possible!
