🏆⚽️ The Linden Club Tournament ⚽️🏆

The boys headed to the Linden Club Tournament today, where a mix of U10’s and U11’s sides battled it out on a warm ☀️ but windy 💨 day.

Our opening fixture was against Clee Town Eagle Owls U10’s, and it couldn’t have gone much better. Goals from Bobby ⚽️ and Hugo ⚽️ secured our first victory of the day 💪✅

It was more Clee Town opposition up next as we faced Clee Town Owls U10’s. The lads kept the momentum going, making it two wins from two as Hugo grabbed a brace ⚽️⚽️🔥

Next up were Discoveries Lionesses U11’s in what proved to be a tough test. The boys dug deep and made it three wins on the bounce, with Jake finishing off a superb cross from George to seal another fantastic win ⚽️👏

Our final Clee Town opponents were Clee Town Meggies U10’s, and goals from George ⚽️ and Bobby ⚽️ secured another victory. That result guaranteed us a top four finish and a place in the Champions League knockout stages with a game to spare 🏆🙌

The final group game saw us take on our friends from Grimsby Borough Warriors U10’s. It was a closely fought contest between two excellent teams, but unfortunately Borough nicked a narrow one goal victory 🤝⚽️

Despite that defeat, the boys produced a mammoth effort throughout the group stage to finish 3rd, setting up a semi final against Laceby U11’s. Some of the opposition boys towered over ours, but our lads showed incredible fight, grit, determination and heart ❤️ . After a hard fought 0-0 draw, it all came down to the dreaded penalty shootout 😩🤢

Step forward Sam 🧤⭐️ our goalkeeper pulled off the crucial save to send us through to the FINAL! 🎉

The final was always going to be a huge challenge against a very talented Discoveries All Stars side. It was a tense, competitive game throughout, but as we pushed for a winner, All Stars struck twice late on to take the trophy 🏆 . Congratulations to Discoveries All Stars on a deserved victory 👏

As for our boys, what can we say? Every single one of them was absolutely superb from the first whistle to the last. They showed teamwork 🤝 determination 💪 resilience 👏 and represented the club brilliantly all day long. Every single player can hold their head high. We couldn’t be prouder of them all 💙🫶🏻

Pre-Season Friendly.

On a warm evening, we headed to Clee Fields to take on Clee Town Owls 🦉 we started like a house on fire 🔥 some of the football we played was fantastic, moving the ball with confidence and creating lots of chances. It showed too, with a great return in front of goal ⚽👏

As the game went on, Clee Town Owls grew into the match and made it a real contest. It turned into a proper goal bonanza, with both teams playing some excellent football and working incredibly hard until the final whistle 💪⚽

The result wasn’t the most important thing tonight, there was so much learning, great attitudes, loads of effort, and another valuable step in our pre season preparations 🌟📈 well done to every single player from both teams 👏

Special shout out tonight as it was the first outing for our brand new matchday kit and how smart do the boys look! A huge thank you to Redgate Electrical Services Limited for your amazing support of the team, it’s hugely appreciated by everyone at the club 🫶🏻❤️

🏖️⚽️ Cleethorpes Beach Tournament ⚽️🏖️

What a fantastic morning of beach football for the boys, with plenty of goals, smiles and memories made 🟪🟦

Our first game saw us take on our friends from Grimsby Borough Warriors, and goals from Bobby and Jake got us off to the perfect start on the sand 💥⚽

Next up was Laceby, and despite a brilliant effort in a closely fought contest, they edged the game by a single goal 👏

It was then GCW Town, where Bobby was in unstoppable form, smashing home a superb hat trick to secure our second victory of the group 🎩🔥

Our fourth game brought the unknown challenge of AFC Tickton Hawks, but the boys produced another excellent display. Hugo grabbed a brilliant brace before Jake and Bobby completed a convincing win 💪⚽

Our final game came against the eventual tournament winners Handsworth JSC. With tired legs beginning to show after a busy morning, Handsworth deservedly came out on top, although Bobby grabbed a late consolation goal for the Pilgrims👏⚽

It was a brilliant morning for the boys, spending time together, bonding as teammates and enjoying football in a different environment on the beach 🏖️⚽ playing on the sand isn’t easy, but every single player gave everything they had, and we couldn’t be prouder of their effort, attitude and teamwork throughout the tournament. Well done, lads! 🥰🫶🏻

It was a scorcher at training this evening, so we kept things nice and light ☀️💦 plenty of smiles, lots of fun, and a few games to keep the boys ticking over without anything too strenuous ⚽

The lads also took a moment to show their support for the Three Lions ahead of this weekend’s World Cup Quarter Final against Norway 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇳🇴

Good luck, England! Bring it home 🏆🙏🏻

Pre-Season Friendly.

It was goals galore this evening as we took on Future FC U10’s in a fantastic game of grassroots football ⚽

We found ourselves 2-0 down early on as Future FC made a flying start. Despite the scoreline, we were already playing some lovely attacking football and never let our heads drop 💪👏 as the game went on, everything started to click 🔄 we moved through the gears, fought back to level the scores, and eventually ran out deserved winners 🥅

The most pleasing aspect was the way we moved the ball in spells, creating space, finding overloads, and playing some excellent team football 👏🧠

It was a great workout for both teams, and a big well done to Future FC U10’s, who played their part in a brilliant game of football 👏

Well done, boys! Keep working hard and enjoying your football. We are back training Thursday before we head to the beach 🏖️ this weekend for the Cleethorpes Beach Tournament ☀️⚽️

🏆⚽️ Healing Hotspurs Tournament ⚽️🏆

A fantastic day of football at the Healing Tournament saw our boys battle their way through a tough group and into the Europa League knockout stages 💪

Our opening match was against Grimsby Utd Jaguars 🐆 it looked destined to finish level before Seth popped up late on to smash home from close range and sn**ch all three points 🚀⚽

Next up were Grimsby Borough Mariners ⚓ we fell behind early, but a great pass from George released Jake, who calmly slotted into the corner to level the scores 🎯⚽ . Unfortunately, the Mariners found a late winner to take the victory.

With no break in between, we were straight back into action against Grimsby Borough Warriors ⚔️ . Two good footballing sides got the ball down and played the game the right way 👏⚽ . Chances were few and far between, and a hard fought stalemate was probably a fair result 🤝 .

Our final group game saw us take on Humberston Kestrels 🦅 . A single goal separated the sides, with Hugo producing a low driven finish into the back of the net to secure a huge win 🔥⚽

A third place finish in the group meant qualification for the Europa League 🏆 , where we faced the intriguingly named Barcelona Green Bank 🇪🇸 we made the perfect start when Hugo’s cross found George, who adjusted brilliantly before firing us into the lead ⚽💥 . Green Bank responded with an equaliser, but our boys weren’t finished. Bobby’s long range effort crashed against the crossbar 🚀🎯 , landing kindly for Jake, whose shot hit both posts before crossing the line 😱⚽

That dramatic win set up a semi final clash with Discoveries Tigers 🐯 . It proved to be a tense and closely contested affair. In the final minute, Sam produced a superb save to tip a goal bound effort onto the bar and keep the scores level 🧤🙌 . With neither side able to find a winner, the dreaded penalty shootout arrived 😩 sadly, it wasn’t to be our day as the Tigers edged through to the final.

A superb effort from every single one of our boys throughout the day 👏💙 . They showed great character, teamwork and played some excellent football from start to finish ⚽🔥 a big thank you to Healing for their hospitality and for putting on such a superbly run event 👏🏆

Clee Town Ladies Tillets U10’s V Immingham Pilgrims U9’s.

We wrapped up our campaign in the sunshine yesterday with a trip over to Cleethorpes 🌊 and what a way to finish! The boys were absolutely on fire 🔥 from the first whistle to the last, playing some of the best football we’ve seen all season. Jake got us off to the perfect start with an early goal ⚽ quickly followed by Hugo adding a second. Harry and Archie then joined the party, both getting their names on the scoresheet 🙌 . The passing and movement today were a joy to watch 👏 sharp, confident, and full of energy! Jake, Archie, and Hugo each grabbed another ⚽⚽⚽ before Harry went on a scoring spree, firing home three more 💥 Archie then added a brilliant double, including one from a beautifully weighted pass by livewire George 🎯⚡ Seth got in on the action too with a well earned brace ⚽⚽ and Hugo rounded things off to complete the scoring. At the back, we welcomed Sam back between the sticks after his operation 🧤 and it was like he’d never been away! Rainn and Raph kept things calm and composed in defence 🛡️ showing great confidence on the ball. A fantastic team performance all round. Now it’s time for a well earned rest 🛌 and to recharge the batteries 🔋 ahead of tournament season! Well done everyone involved and thank you to our sponsors for their continued support 👏🏻

These boys have been brilliant, winning every game since Christmas is no small feat, but what’s even better is how they’re doing it. You can really see the progress in their fundamentals, smarter decision making, confidence on the ball, and a real willingness to move it and play for each other. Most importantly, they’re learning what teamwork looks like, supporting one another, communicating, and enjoying the game together. It’s a great group growing the right way.
