Farewell, Sam – A True Part of Our Family
A huge thank you to Steve Bowden and Dan Anderson for leading all the classes during Sam’s farewell evening. It was a night filled with both celebration and bittersweet goodbyes as we honored someone who has truly left a mark on our club.
Sam has been a constant presence over the past two years, showing unwavering dedication to her training and to the people around her. Whether on the mat or in our chat groups, she has always been a source of energy, encouragement, and camaraderie. She embodies the spirit of our most cherished principle—Unite—bringing people together through her passion for training and her genuine support for others.
Beyond her skill and discipline, Sam has been an incredible teammate and friend. She’s the kind of person who lifts others up, celebrates their victories, and motivates them through challenges. Her presence has made our club stronger, and her absence will undoubtedly be felt.
As she moves to Wellington, New Zealand, we have no doubt she will continue to thrive, and we’re excited for the opportunities ahead of her. Luckily, there are many avenues for her to keep training, and we know she’ll bring the same determination and spirit to her new community as she did to ours.
Sam, you will always have a home here. We wish you nothing but success and happiness, and we truly hope to see you back on the mat with us someday. Until then, keep training hard and making waves—just as you always have!
Thank you to everyone who came together to create this 2025 group portrait and to give Sam the send-off she deserves, even if one of us was late, see if you can workout by the three photos who that was.
