🦅‼️IMPORTANT - PLEASE SHARE 🙏‼️🦅 I’m very passionate about this issue and it’s all about cormorants! Really pleased to see the lads chat about the HUGE issue of cormorant predation in the latest Weigh-In episode! I’ve posted a few times about how bad the situation is and WE need to do something about it 👊 There is a brilliant system Hydroscape-group site from PDAA have introduced where we can report sightings and activities of cormorants! This will raise awareness and increase the threshold of controlling them by gathering firm data, but we all need to do it! Whenever you see a cormorant, take an image and report it ✅ This is the only way we’ll make a difference!

🙏 PLEASE share this post and spread the word! 🧡

‼️ 2020 TACKLE GURU/ANGLING TRUST TALENT PATHWAY ANNOUNCEMENT ‼️

Due to the current COVID-19 Coronavirus we have made the decision to cancel the 2020 Talent Pathway... This means that the final sessions for the North and South, plus the Inter-Regional Final in April will not go ahead as planned.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused, but as you will undoubtedly agree the health and safety for all involved with the Talent Pathway, which includes the coaches, parents/guardians and the anglers is paramount.

Therefore, the England Under 15’s Trial Assessment which was planned to take place on April 11th, at the Inter-Regional Final will also not be taking place. We will provide all anglers involved with the Talent Pathway more information regarding the trial and Under 15’s World Championships imminently.

The Talent Pathway will return back to normal in 2021. Please keep an eye out on both the Guru page for more details about next year’s sessions.

HOWEVER... please note that if the current COVID-19 situation improves over the coming months we will still aim to run the Inter-Regional Final later in the year (date pending). We will do our very best to run the Final, but we must adhere to government guidelines and make the safety of all involved a priority.
We will inform all anglers/parents & guardians regarding the potential reschedule of the Inter-Regional Final closer to the time.

From all the team at Angling Trust and Tackle Guru we urge you to stay safe and adhere to the government’s guidelines of social distancing. We will get through this together 👊

Another brilliant session from the Guru backed Southern talent pathway.

Yesterday saw 16 anglers turn out at Ivyhouse Lakes near Swindon for the first session of the Southern Talent pathway, with Des Ship and Danny Williamson.

What an impressive group of young anglers, well advanced for their age.

The Weather made it tricky with a strong breeze, but at least it stayed dry and mild.

The day started with demonstrations on correct set up and tactics for international style match angling which included loads of tips and tricks throughout the day, including the use of Bloodworm and Joker.

All in all a everyone learned loads and had a great fun packed day, lots of bites and caught loads of fish, check out the photos.

A big thank you to Guru for the buckets of goodies and Mainline for Ground-Bait and Ivyhouse lakes for their hospitality and facilities, our helpers Ross and Shane all the parents for transporting the young guns to the venue.
