Player of the match-George Hendy-16/11/2025

And finally Mr Hendy.
Was an absolute nightmare for defenders yesterday.
George has always been our striker and has shown an interest recently in playing winger and he has took to it amazingly.
In yesterday's match he created alot of chances most of them coming from him charging down the wing and getting the team up the pitch.One thing that he really showed is how physical he is using his body to keep possession of the ball and he did this all game long.
A really good performance well done mate 👏

Player of the match-Noah newton-16/11/2025

A really solid performance.
The second of our potm is noah who was everywhere defending and attacking.
Noah really put a shift in for his team and work tirelessly,one thing that really impressed us was his vision.On many occasions picking out his team mates with accurate passes.
Noah has been dying to get a goal for his team and yesterday it happened and we were all buzzing for him.
Well done mate 👏

After a fantastic win last week we were faced with the hardest game we have had so far this season against a brilliant pelican colts.

We started the first half and knew straight away it was going to be a tough one with the opposition playing some really good football.They scored 3 goals very quickly goals from corners and 3 simple tap ins.
We managed to get 1 back from a corner a brilliant ball in from jack and well taken by noah.Pelican then went and got a couple more before half time.

We came out second half heads still up and we really took control and managed to get 2 more goals. Really nice footballing goals.George crossing into Jacob who then put away a tidy finish.Pretty much straight after we were at it again Jacob with a shot which deflected to logan who tapped it in.We really took it to them and showed that we are able to compete with teams like this and we were really pinging it about and played some of the best football we have seen.
Pelican made a couple of changes and brought on three really good players who had really troubled us in the first half and managed to score some more goals but still we were pushing constantly and causing problems for them.

Really proud of the performance today as they showed real resilience and never gave up and also showed even more improvement.
You can see why today's opposition have done so well this season a really good footballing side which is why it was so nice to see the way we played against them.A massive well done to all the boys!!!

Stanton ilkeston Scorpions U11 vs
Borrowash panthers U11

Wow just wow!!!

We started off with a minutes silence and all the players on the pitch demonstrated the up most respect and ended it with a wholesome round of applause.

First half
We kicked off and something was different about the lads we started off really strong. We had a three week break with no matches which gave us an opportunity to work on our defending and shooting and from the get go we were solid at the back.
We had multiple chances on goal just not being able put it away.

The lads came in at half time and the smiles couldn't of been any bigger they were really happy with how they had played and were eager to get back out there.

Second half
The lads came out second half raring to go and started the half the way they finished the last one.
Again we were having chance after chance but the Borrowash keeper was absolutely amazing making save after save.
Then it came. A corner whipped in and George managed to get onto it putting it past the keeper to put us ahead the lads were over the moon.
Again the defence defended everything and really protected our keeper.
Five minutes to go and a mistimed challenge gave Borrowash a penalty which they scored making it level.The way we had played the whole game I would of been just as happy with a draw.
The lads head didn't go down and they were quick to get the ball back to the centre to kick off.
And then a real wow moment last kick of the game, Jacob laid it off to dylan out side the area and he didnt hesitate and hit an absolute screamer past the keeper, what a moment for them all and they were on cloud nine.The final whistle blew straight after giving us our first ever league win and our first win of the season.

So proud of all the boys today it's the best we have ever seen them play they were a proper team and were working so hard all game for each other and showed everybody what they are capable of and what we have believed they are capable of all along.
A massive credit to them all because even through the hard times they always stick together and there attitude is always amazing and most of all they love being part of this team.UPTHESCORPIONS!!!!

As a team, we want every young person we work with — and anyone we come into contact with — to know that we are a safe place.
If you’re ever struggling, if you see or experience something that doesn’t feel right, you can come to us. We’ll listen, we’ll support, and we’ll help.

It’s also important to remember that bullying isn’t always intentional. Sometimes, words or actions can hurt without us realising it.
That’s why education, kindness, and open conversations matter so much — they help us all open our eyes and be better teammates, coaches, and friends, and thats for the young and old of us too, because sometimes we can all let it slip at times, why? Because we are human.

Together, we can make football the inclusive, positive, and supportive space it should always be. 💪⚽
