Walesby 2-1 Raptors

We're not the first & won't be the last team who won the cup one season, and then got knocked out in the opening round the next.

We went 1-0 up thanks to Seth's 9th goal of the season, and perhaps were a little complacent with our 1 goal lead.

We had chances to increase the lead but a number of shots were fired high & wide.

In the 2nd half, another avoidable free-kick found the top corner for Walesby, pulling them level & giving them the momentum.

A counter attack gave them a nice finish and we found ourselves behind.

We've beaten them before after going behind, however we couldn't find the net despite a number of chances.

Well done to Walesby. The 4 game aggregate score is 13-7, so the next game between us will be interesting!

Well done to Alfie R, today's Player of the match.

Match Report - 09/11/2025
Heanor Sambas 4 - 3 Raptors

In a pre season friendly, Heanor beat us 8-0.

We knew it was going to be a challenge today, but the lads rose to that challenge & should be proud of their efforts.

It was a narrow defeat & we could have got something out of the game.

Max had a long range shot which almost opened the scoring, but it went narrowly over.

Runaway league leaders Heanor have a good attack, however we restricted them. The opening goal came from a drop-ball, however everyone thought it was a free kick instead, so we were not ready for it.

Heanor then went 2-0 up soon after, before Seth pulled one back after a long clearance from Thomas.

To be 2-1 down at Half Time was respectful.

The boys had dug in & worked hard.

This continued in the 2nd half, and it got exciting & scrappy towards the end as we grabbed a few goals back to make it 4-3.

Well done to today's Player of the match, George. His determination pulled us back in to the game in the 2nd half. He got back on the scoresheet & also put a ball into the box which dropped in, with Brayden at the back post to make sure.

Match Report - 26/10/2025
Breaston 4 - 3 Raptors

Holidays, illnesses & a trip to the wrong venue left us with no substitutes today. The lads were man-for-man the better players, but conceding from corners and not closing down fast enough saw us lose 4-3.

We went ahead after Alfie B slotted home from a corner early on, and it felt like we could go on and dominate from there.

It didn't quite turn out that way, but that's how it goes sometimes!

Max scored his first goal of the season with a great effort, and Alfie B once again netted from outside the box.

The Carl Derbyshire - Mortgage Advisor PLAYER OF THE MATCH award goes to Brayden for his energy. His pressure won us the ball back countless times.
