🐻HELP PLEASE 🐻
I'm in the process of trying to purchase a woodland for a community project. It will be the new home of Wild Bears Forest School & Outdoor Playgroup and also host many other community projects and groups that will benefit our community such as outdoor yoga, dementia support groups, painting for mental health, SEND friendly groups and activities, school holiday clubs, sessions run for school groups, family fun days and special events for holidays such as Easter, Halloween and Christmas and many more as we become established and welcome other groups and organisations to approach us to use the space.
This will be a community not for profit (social enterprise) project. We already have non-financial backing from organisations such as Public Health, Erewash Borough Council, local schools, Home Start Erewash and other community groups who would be interested in delivering project to our community.
In order for us to gain the funding to purchase the land and get it fit for all the wonderful projects, we need to have planning in place. In order to get planning permission, we need to obtain Biodiversity surveys, tree surveys, tree management plans and flood risk assessments. These all come at a substantial cost, and this is just to get to planning stages before we can apply for the project funding support with funders such as Seven Trent Community Fund or The Lotto Funds for All. However, we don't have the disposable funds to cover these costs as our turnover is low and we are continuously investing in our current projects.
I'm looking for help from my community, to see if there are any local businesses that would be interested in sponsoring us to raise these initial funds to get these surveys completed for planning, or could carry out said surveys. In return, when (I'm determined to make it happen) we get the project off the ground, we will ensure your name(s) feature on our welcome sign as sponsors to the site and project development.
I'd really appreciate it I'd anyone knows any local businesses that would be interested (many have corporate responsibility policies that this would fall under) to get in touch with myself to discuss further or just give this post a share to reach a wider audience. Many Thanks. 🐻
