Nice to see people paying attention to the club. We've had a message from a visitor to Ilfracombe saying that the Union Flag displayed outside the front of the club is "upside down". Well thank you to the patriotic member of the public who pointed this out to us. However, as Commodore of the club, I would like to point out the the Flag is actually the right side up, but it's the pole that's the wrong way round! Thank you ..🤣

Looking forward to hosting this year's 20th anniversary Round Lundy Yacht Rally. We will be welcoming crews from all around the Bristol Channel and beyond, for an exciting and challenging race around the Island. Boats of all sizes and shapes will be taking part. The start time is 7.00am on Saturday 16th of May. Don't miss the spectacle of the biggest mass start yacht race in the Bristol Channel.

20th Round Lundy Rally!

We're getting ready to welcome yachts and crews from around the Bristol Channel, to Ilfracombe Harbour, for the 20th Round Lundy Rally! This year taking place on Saturday 16th May. The rally starts at 7 a.m, so get up early to see them off!
BBQ, music and presentation in the evening.

We were proud to host the Civic Reception, on behalf of our Mayor, Mark Fay, at IYC today! It was lovely to welcome many Mayors and honoured guests from around Devon, to our beautiful Club, basking in the spring sunshine :-)

We've got a busy weekend coming up at IYC!

Don't forget the superb Aweigh Shanty Group from Mortehoe, who will be singing on Friday night from 7.45. They will be collecting donations for their 2026 charity, which is the Devon Hospice. Please come to IYC to support them and NDH. 🎶

And on Sunday afternoon we'll be supporting another local group, when we host a quiz in aid of Sea Cadets. 3 p.m in the Club. These quizzes are very popular, so do get in touch if you'd like to reserve a table. 📝

And on Tuesday morning, hopefully 🤞, we'll be serving up bacon baps and beverages from 8 a.m, as the boats are being lifted back into the water for the 2026 season! Always an exciting event to watch, and you can see the boats sailing back into the harbour from the comfort of the Yacht Club! ⛵
