Sheffield shadows Women's Ice Hockey Club - Sheffield England
A Women's Ice Hockey team based at IceSheffield with teams playing in the U16, WNIHL1 and WNIHL2 leagues. In the 2002/3 season the Shadows won promotion to English premier league, and have never finished lower than 5th since that time. The leagues have grown over the years, along with the number of players in Sheffield, and the Shadows
were the first Women’s club to form 2 teams. There are now Shadows teams playing in both the English Premier League and English Division 1 North. The Shadows have a strong focus on developing players to get into the sport and be coached to the highest level – the Shadows have several representatives (both players and coaches) in the England and Great Britain Teams. Success doesn’t come without hard work, and the Shadows would not be where they are today without the dedication of players, coaches, managers, parents and so many others.
