Personalised maps take you through the Chiltern Hills to pubs and cafes with the option of staying over on the farm in our accommodation or campsite, with full facilities. We are a farm set in the peaceful village of Ibstone high in the beautiful Chiltern hills yet only 2 miles from the M40. We have miles of beautiful riding here along bridleways and quiet roads and tracks and can offer you 50 years of our knowledge of the local area to put together rides that will suit you. These range from 1 hour to full day rides with stop offs for lunch at horse friendly pubs if required. We are a knowledgeable horse owning family and understand that riders require different things from their riding and this is where our expertise will help us put together a personalised ride for you and your friends/family.

If you have been to Cholsey Farm Riding you may have seen this mound with a headstone, this is Ted’s father’s grave. He wanted to be buried on the farm with a lovely view in his favorite place - and one of his best friends put a bench up next to the grave!

Next time you are here, ask us where it is and you are very welcome to ride by!

🐎🌿 There’s always more to explore at Cholsey Farm Riding!

What a lovely way to experience the beautiful Chiltern Hills, especially during the autumn where the colours are so beautiful, riding through pretty villages, discovering a little local history along the way and enjoying some fantastic countryside from the saddle!

It was lovely to welcome Cathy from Eventful Riders and Andi from ACES horses and for a ride around our beautiful corner of the world. 🤎

With over 20 routes to explore, from a few hours to adventures of up to 25 miles, there’s always somewhere new to discover. Beautiful bridleways, open countryside, woodland tracks and plenty of opportunities for a good canter!

🙌 We’re really excited to be working with Eventful Riders and Aces Horses to create an experience here at Cholsey Farm Riding. Watch this space for more details!

🐴 CALLING ALL LONG DISTANCE RIDERS! 🐴

We’ve just added TWO new longer routes at Cholsey Farm Riding! 🎉

📍 Russells Water Route – 21 miles / 33 km
📍 Ewelme Route – just over 21 miles / 34 km

Both routes are around 80% bridleways, with the remainder on quiet country lanes – perfect for those who love a proper day out exploring on horseback. 🌳🐎

And of course, both routes include a pub stop along the way! 🍻🥪

So if you’re looking for a longer ride, beautiful countryside and miles of fantastic riding, come and give them a go!
