Another busy night at the Town with U11B hosting Burbage & Stoke Golding in another league match.

U11A travel to Shepshed, looking to bounce back from last week's disappointment against Rothley.

Our U11 Incrediball have got to wait one more week, before they can play their first home match of the season as the game has been re-scheduled, so instead they will be training.

Also training will be our Vixens, Girls and Kwik Cricket squads.

And it is the penultimate session for the All-Stars / Dynamos programme.

Of course the BBQ will be firing away and with the weather forecast this Friday night, a great opportunity to come down an take in a refreshment or two whilst enjoying the junior cricket.

The 1st XI fell short in their chase of 272.

The 2nd XI secured another excellent win, with a superb 68 from Dwain Mensah and a composed 41* from the club legend Harvey Mee, guiding them home 👏

Backed up by great bowling from the skipper, picking up 4 wickets to seal the result 💪

Our Vixens took part in the first Summer Smash Softball Festival, that was held at ITCC on Sunday.

A newly formed team this season, thanks to the endeavours of our outgoing Chairman Travis Plinston.

A great day was had by all, including supporting parents who ended up getting involved to fill opposition team contingent.

Well done to all the Women & Girls that took part, new Vixens Head Coach (Dwain Mensah) for keeping the team focused and organised, and a big thank you to the Grounds Staff for getting the field ready to host.

Sunday XI Match Result from Sunday 14th June.

Great Opening bowling partnership from ITCC with Callum Venables (4x) and Luke Harris (1x) taking 5x wickets between them for just 43x runs from their 13x overs.

Although, a few too many extras given away (48 in total), compared with opposition who only gave away 22, from the change bowlers. And that was the key difference between the teams in determining the result, and something that will need to be rectified going forwards.

More juniors getting opportunities, which is a positive for the club, and highlights the step up required when moving from Junior cricket to low level Senior Cricket.
