Our Hairsprays team had a lovely end of term treat booked in - a trip to Elements Studio - Ashford for an Aerial Hoop lesson!

What a great way to celebrate the end of their season - learning ‘man in the moon, gazelles and straddles.

Sadly they were missing Freya who was unable to attend, but all the athletes had a great time and left with big smiles!

A big thank you to Abi and the Elements team for hosting them 🩵

Congratulations to all the swimmers that attended the grading day in Reading this weekend.

It was an incredibly hot day, with lots of waiting around, but you all handled yourselves brilliantly throughout the day.

Combo Cup Recap:
Division 2 13-19: The Daleks Team

The Daleks team had a challenging season, fitting in training around exams and academic commitments - but managed this balance well.

A new grouping this year, with a range of experiences between them. They worked hard on developing their routine, and performed well at the Kent County Championships to take a bronze medal.
At the Combo Cup they finished in 12th place with a great swim - including some effective facial expressions.

Combo Cup Recap:

15&U Division 1: Twists Team

Our Oliver Twist themed routine have spent a lot of time developing close friendships and team building skills over this past season.

For many, this was their first experience of a team routine, and competing at this level. They’ve attended an aerial hoop lesson alongside their training sessions to help build on some of their skills, and had great fun making shapes on the hoop and trying moves like “man on the moon”.

At the Kent County Championships in June the Twists took the Gold medal. At Combo Cup, they had a great swim, and took 13th place, out of 23 entries.

Combo Cup Recap:

13-19 Division 1: Hairsprays Team

Our Hairsprays team have been on quite a journey this season - with a 9th member of the team joining quite close to some of the competitions, and who did a fantastic job picking up the routine in a short space of time.

This team have worked hard to be supportive and inclusive to all swimmers, and it’s been a pleasure to watch their development.

Hairsprays had a very successful outing at the Kent County Championships in June, with a silver medal.
At Combo Cup, they achieved a personal best score, and came 6th place in their category.

Good luck to all of our swimmers heading to Sheffield this weekend for the Swim England Combo Cup!

We have three combo teams making the journey to Ponds Forge.

First up will be our Division 1 13-19 team, who will be swimming their Hairspray themed routine. You can’t stop the beat! 🎶

We are then swiftly followed by the Division 1 15&U team, who will be performing their Oliver Twist themed routine. “Please Sir, I want some more….” 🙏

Last to swim will be the Division 2 13-19 team, swimming their Dr Who themed routine. “We’re all stories in the end. Just make it a good one.” 📔

We had a full squad of 30 swimmers competing, and for some, it was their very first competition, or their first experience of a routines competition, so an exciting day for everyone.

Good luck to all our athletes heading to Crawley today for the Kent County Championships!

For some of our athletes it is their first experience of a competition or a routine event, so a super exciting day!

They’ve all worked so hard in the run up to this event, and we are looking forward to seeing what they’ve got to show.
