⛵️East Kent Sailing Clubs! Get ready for an exciting test of endurance and sailing skill as we revive a classic event, re-imagined for today’s sailors. Inspired by the legendary “Courroie Sans Fin” 12-hour race first held in the 1960’s, this updated challenge invites East Kent sailing clubs and organisations to take part in a thrilling 6-hour pursuit race, held in the iconic Dover Harbour on the 6th of September 2025.

Good evening,
It is with a heavy heart that we have been informed that long standing and well respected retired committee member Ian Hodge has passed away. Anyone wishing to pay their respects the funeral is being held at Hawkinge, Friday 22nd 15:30.

3 teen/adult places available on a first come first served basis on a 2 day teen/adult dinghy sailing course (RYA Level 1) this Saturday 23rd March and Sunday 7th April.

If you're not sure about it, sign up for the first day only to try it out! Priority will be given to those committing for both days, but last minute places are available to those willing to give the first day a try! Messsage us to reserve a place or book via cinqueportssailing.org Wetsuit and buoyancy aid available to use. Kick start the watersports season by attending, and enjoy being on the water for the rest of the summer! Course will be held at but once attended sailing both at Conningbrook and Martello is possible (only £12 to hire a boat during sessions once you have your level 1 beginner's course completed). Qualified instructors available to help you.

Making the most of some lovely November conditions 8 boats were out on the water with some really close racing.
First race saw Jack make a clean start and manage to lead round the first mark. The remainder of the entire race was spent looking backwards trying to hold of Graham. Despite there being quite a backlog all desperate to get by, the Solution was just too wide. Jack led over the line followed by Graham and then on the last leg Anthony managed to nip passed Graeme.
The second race started in slightly lighter conditions and Graham managed to pull a leg clear in the first two laps whilst everyone else was fighting for position. Jack emerged as the closest challenger once he managed to escape the clutches of Dave, but with one lap left it was too little too late. Graeme had managed to get passed Dave on the last lap until de ja vu and he let the place slip away on the last leg again.
The third and final race was decided to sail the same course, but backwards, because, well, why not. This race was slightly more processional but still closely fought. Jack took the honours closely followed by Anthony.

Lovely day down the club today, so nice being able to have KSSA back down holding their New Racers event. Thanks to everyone who came down and made it a great day
