Frustrating, so early in the season, to have games postponed but we look towards next weekend and going up against Denmead for the first time as we aim to keep the positive momentum building.

From the pitch to the playground!

The players know that every time they step onto the pitch, there are young girls (and boys) watching them, supporting them and, hopefully, being inspired by them. Kids don't see the league the team play in or the level they are at, they see players they aspire to be like when they grow up. Right on their doorstep, for free, making it so much more accessible. So to see those same kids proudly wearing the badge, either on matchday or through the week, means an awful lot to the team.

SQUAD UPDATE | Maisie Mills promoted to 1st team squad ✍️

We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome Maisie into the squad. She’s been a big part of our current U18s group for several seasons, progressing with them through the youth ranks at Hythe & Dibden YFC, so it’s brilliant to see her take that next step into senior football.

The Gaffer’s thoughts:
“Maisie has already shown exactly why we’re excited to bring her into the squad. She made her league debut in yesterday’s win over New Milton and looked completely comfortable at this level.

When we said the squad was full in pre-season, part of the reason was that we never wanted to block the pathway for young players who were earning an opportunity. Maisie has more than earned hers.

She’s brave, positive and gives us a real attacking threat from wing-back. She wants to get on the ball, wants to get forward and plays without fear.

She’s another example of the talent coming through our youth setup, and I’m really excited to see how far she can go.”
