Finding a balance with fitness, life, eating and training... managing work, health, socials, self care.. does your head sometimes feel like it may explode?
If you are not competing but are still balancing just trying to stay in shape, wanting to not feel restricted, eat and do what you like, manage work and stress and family and friends (and the list goes on..) you may feel like you are up and down with motivation, goals and your direction..
We all experience life differently so what’s hard for me might not be hard for you, and vice versa, but we all go through some sort of ups and downs... life is literally a rollercoaster
Sometimes life gets heavy and when it does, you might eat out more, miss the gym, feel out of routine... and yeah, maybe your body changes - but that’s not failure, that’s just being human! If you’re going through change, heartbreak, stress, or a weird time - whatever it is it’s okay to not have it all together
Whether you’ve put on weight, lost it, or stayed exactly the same, it’s not the most important thing.. not even close.
But getting back on track after falling off is what will keep things in line
I know through bodybuilding that having something you love can keep you grounded, but I’ve also learned that it’s not just about being lean or lifting heavy, sometimes it’s just about being kind to yourself and minimising the stress
Your body is allowed to change! Your weight is allowed to fluctuate; especially as females with hormonal fluctuations up and down - I always stress to my clients’ perfection is not the key to long term progress - but consistency is! and what matters most is your happiness, your peace, being present with the people you love and feeling alive even in the chaos and
If you’ve gained weight lately, it’s okay. If you’ve lost weight, it’s okay. If you’re just floating through life trying to make sense of it all - that’s okay too
