CLUB STATEMENT 📝

Dukinfield Athletic to fold.

Today we bring you the sad and unfortunate news that Dukinfield Athletic have taken the decision to fold the club, effective immediately!

This has been an incredibly difficult decision to make, but after an extremely difficult start to the season for the club, it has become evident that we can no longer operate and take the club forward so we have taken the very difficult decision to fold the club.

We’d like to thank every single person who has been involved with the club over the past 7 years, the committee members, our sponsors, the managers but most importantly the players for their commitment to our club and making it the success it was, your support was greatly appreciated.

Thank you to everyone involved with the club over the years for your time, effort, and fantastic support 👏🏻

MATCH REPORT 📝

Today was never going to be about the result our performance!

Over the past 72 hours our superb management team of Nick Hartigan and Saul Forbes have worked tirelessly trying put together a team to fulfill today’s clash against league leaders AFC Stockport SATS when in all honesty it would have been easier to call the game off take a 1-0 defeat and try re-group for the following weeks fixture.

But that’s not what this club is all about so against the odds we managed to put a team together and get the fixture played and tried to be competitive as possible against a very good team.

So it’s only fair our captain Matty Nolan and his lads get a mention today, they showed real character in agreeing to play this fixture and deserve massive kudos 👌🏻

We’ll done and thank you to everyone that turned up today in s**t conditions to get this game played 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Our consolation goal today was scored by Lewis Hampson ⚽️
