Hey kids our season will start on Wednesday 8th of February at Huntly primary field at 4.30 for ages 5-13

First week is free for sign up then a dollar per child each week and three dollars for three or more children

Remember to be SunSmart kids and bring a drink of water

Parents we are always looking for helpers if u are keen

Hey guys again the weather is not on our side for athletics and since there is only 4 weeks left of the season we have decided to start in week 1 of term 1 2017! Will post a reminder closer to the time! Happy Holidays 😀

Huntly athletics club 2016 season

We will start the first Wednesday of term 4 at 4.30 to 5.30 for ages 5 to 13

We will still be based at Huntly primary just at the soccer club end

First night will be free for sign up then $1 per child and $3 for three or more children per family

We are still short for helpers so give me a call if you can help

Huntly athletics club 2016 pre season newsletter

Well Spring is upon us and summer will be here before we know it .So it's time to get our kids competing and setting personal goals for themselves.

In order do that we need a team of helpers ,you don't have to be an expert at athletics ,most kids know how to run jump throw .Its just been able to put a smile on kids faces and a sense of achievement .

We will have a meeting at the Huntly RSA on Tuesday the 20/9 at 6 pm for anyone that wants to be a helper .Or you can just ring me to say your keen and ask any questions.

It will be for term 4 for the first 8 weeks ,on a Wednesday a time will be arrange with helpers with what best suits them 4.30 5.30??

Huntly athletics week six & seven report

:Well week six was the night of long distance running it was great to see the competitiveness of kids to get to the finish line and to blank out the stitch if they had too. Three easy ways of preventing the stitch is hydration (water),warm up (gradually get faster)and keeping fit. Remember energy doesn't come in a can, it comes from keeping fit.

:Week seven was about the kids having fun and competing in a team and walking away happy and a smile on there face.

: Ok the thank you's, first thank you to the parents for bringing your kids a long.
Next thank you Sandra for your behind the scenes work and being the voice on Wednesdays.
Thank you to Sheena for coming forward and volunteering herself to run her group each week.

Huntly athletes week five report

: Well today we lost a great NZ rugby player and sportsman, I feel privileged to be able to witness his career from a media shy teen into a rugby rockstar. His career was cut short but quality will always out do quantity RIP Jonah

:Well tonight was the night of the bolts and Griffith-Joyners of Huntly, there were a lot side by side racing all the way to the finish line, it was great to see the dedication to get to the finish line
