Potentially the last game of preseason ended with a win. 7 wins out of 7 is great progress for us this preseason and hopefully something we can build on into the season.
Toughest test so far for us today against a great team.
We didn’t start ideal after conceding 23 seconds in but we recovered well 😂 A ball over the top for Striker Danny E who tried a trivela into the opposite corner, a good save from the keeper but the Ball ended up and Dan Ws feet to bag. Louis B looking fresh back from injury, beat his man before chipping the ball to Danny E who scuffed a finish in. Last goal from us in the first half came after Danny E won the ball, dribbled through the defence and squared the ball for Captain Louis B to finish bottom corner. Thorpe then bagged a very well worked goal before the break.
Second half Thorpe were getting back into the game before a long ball to Danny E who flicked it to Toby DJ. He hit from around 30 yards to lob the keeper to increase the lead. Thorpe won a freekick on the left wing, crossed the ball into the box and somehow ended up in our net. Final goal of the game came from Samuels winning the ball at the back. Played into Jorge who gave it to Charlie, on the break Charlie played Dan W through from the halfway line who sprinted down the left wing and finished to seal the win.
MOTM is Our Portuguese Magnifico Jorge who was everywhere today. Quality in everything he did.
