ππ€ Today we had the privilege of visiting Cambridgeshire Police HQ to meet Chief Constable Simon Megicks and Detective Chief Inspector Denise Harper.
We discussed something we are incredibly passionate about at Fitness Rush Community CIC β prevention. π
For several years, we have been supporting probationers, homeless individuals and ex-offenders through tailored exercise, qualifications and positive progression opportunities. ποΈββοΈππ
More recently, our focus has expanded towards early intervention with young people experiencing antisocial behaviour challenges. πΈβ‘ By providing positive role models, structure, purpose and achievable goals, we believe we can help change future outcomes before individuals become involved in the criminal justice system.
The reality is that prevention is not only better for individuals and communities, but it also represents significant savings for public services. π·π
As our work continues to grow, with opportunities to support people at every stage of their journey β including potential future work within prisons β we remain committed to creating pathways towards healthier, happier and more productive lives. π±πͺβ¨
A huge thank you to Chief Constable Simon Megicks and Detective Chief Inspector Denise Harper for taking the time to meet with us and explore how we can work together to make a lasting difference across Cambridgeshire. π
