🌊 WEDNESDAY EVENINGS…

The nights are definitely drawing in now… but the lake is still every bit as beautiful. 💙

A slightly darker sky, calmer water, that end-of-summer feeling creeping in… and another gorgeous evening spent swimming together.

It’s hard to believe we’ve only got TWO Wednesday evening swims left this season! 🥹

Two more chances to get in, swim as the light fades and make the most of these evenings before we wrap up another incredible season at Active Waters.

Don’t leave it until it’s gone… 💙

🔥 AND THAT’S A WRAP ON OUR SKINNY DIPS! 🔥

What a way to finish the season.

The fire was going, hot chocolate was flowing, flapjacks were being demolished… and of course, there was plenty of naked swimming! 😂

But one of my favourite parts was simply sitting around the fire afterwards, chatting about the season we’ve had, sharing stories and talking about what might be coming next for Active Waters.

A massive thank you to everyone who has supported our Skinny Dip sessions this year — whether you came once, became a regular, or took that slightly terrifying first step into the lake with absolutely nothing on! 😂

These sessions have always been about more than just swimming. They’re about confidence, freedom, having a laugh and being around a bloody lovely bunch of people.

That’s us done for 2026… but we’ll be back.

Wednesday evenings at the lake 🔥💦

The water might be getting a little cooler, but that just makes getting out even better when there’s a roaring fire waiting for you! 🔥

Swim your laps, embrace that fresh September water, then head over to the fire to get toasty, warm up and have a natter with your fellow swimmers.

There’s something pretty special about these late-season evenings… cooler water, darker skies and that post-swim glow. 💙

🌊 ACTIVE WATERS IS LOOKING FOR A SECOND HOME 🌊

Active Waters Wild Swimming is growing — and we’re now looking for the right location to become our second open water swimming site.

We’re looking to hear from landowners, farmers, estates, developers, councils or businesses who have access to a suitable body of water and may be interested in working with an established open water swimming business.

Ideally, we’re looking for:

• A lake, reservoir, flooded quarry or other suitable body of open water
• Private or controlled access
• Space for safe entry and exit from the water
• Potential for parking
• A location within Cambridgeshire or the surrounding counties
• Most importantly, a site where we can create a safe, welcoming and professionally managed open water swimming environment

Active Waters Wild Swimming has built a fantastic community around safe, accessible and inclusive open water swimming, with professionally managed sessions, qualified coaching, lifeguard cover and structured safety procedures.

We’re not simply looking for somewhere to swim.

We’re looking for a long-term partnership and a second home for our community — somewhere with the potential to grow alongside us.

Perhaps you own a lake that is currently underused. Maybe you know of a development where open water swimming could become part of the leisure offering. Or perhaps you simply know someone who knows someone!

⚠️ LAST SKINNY DIP OF THE SEASON… BUT WILL IT GO AHEAD? ⚠️

Our final Skinny Dip sessions of 2026 are coming up, but at the moment numbers are looking a little too skinny! 👀

Unfortunately, if we don’t get enough bookings, the sessions will have to be cancelled — so if you’ve been thinking about joining us, now is the time to get booked!

This is your LAST CHANCE this season to experience the lake completely kit-free, surrounded by a friendly, relaxed and supportive bunch of humans.

No fuss. No judgement. Just you, the water and one final skinny dip before we say goodbye to the 2026 season. 💜

We have both a Women’s Only and Mixed session available.

Another gorgeous Sunday afternoon at the lake 💜

A proper chilled afternoon of swimming, chatting, fresh air and making the most of our beautiful lake while we still can.

It’s suddenly feeling VERY real that the 2026 season is beginning to draw to a close… just FOUR Sunday swims left! 🥺

So if you’ve been saying “I’ll get down to the lake soon…” — this is your reminder that soon needs to be NOW! 😂

🐾 PENULTIMATE CANISWIM! 🐾

What an AWESOME session! 💦🐶

Happy dogs, happy humans, plenty of splashing, a little bit of chaos… and some seriously enthusiastic swimmers! 😂

I absolutely LOVE our CaniSwims — there’s just something brilliant about seeing the dogs enjoying the lake alongside their humans. 💜

And now there’s only ONE LEFT this season! 😭

🐾 FINAL CANISWIM — Saturday 12th September

One last chance for wet paws, waggy tails and a big old splash around the lake before we call time on CaniSwim for 2026.
