“Sawtry C**ts Falcons U12 Girls continue to build and grow. Having only come together as a team this season they have quickly bonded and worked hard.

A special mention goes to both goalkeepers in the team. Hanna who had a great start to the season but unfortunately took Lucy Bronze's example a bit too far and saw the girls through to the second round of the Hunts County Cup, only to find she had broken her thumb just before the game. While Ellie-May stepped in at short notice as Goalkeeper in Hannah's absence, has risen to the challenge and is doing a great job as well.

This weekend the team played in the first round of the Cambridgeshire U12 Girls League Cup. All stepped up their game, with some great defending, intercepting and battling to win and play the ball and it showed with a great result against Glinton & Northborough who played and battled really well.

They are now look forward to their second-round challenges in both Cups alongside their league fixtures. Well done girls!”
