Despite the rain today the weather is looking very good for the weekend and archery!
If you have always wanted to give this wonderful sport a go let us know.
We shoot on Saturday mornings at 10.00 on the Triangle Field in Hungerford.
Age range from 7 to 97...
We have all the equipment you need to shoot so no need to rush to the shops until you are hooked on the sport!
If Saturdays do not work for you we also shoot on Sundays at 5pm.
Sessions are usually 90 minutes long.
Cost is £5 per person per session - with an annual membership option as well.

🎯 Archers, assemble! (And bring your suncream) 🏹☀️

After a week of baking in what felt like Mordor’s backyard, it’s finally time to trade the indoor fans for some outdoor fans... of archery! We’ve survived the heatwave, so let's see if we can actually hit the gold this weekend.

We have two fantastic sessions lined up for you:

📅 This Weekend's Schedule:

Saturday, 30th May | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
The "Beat the Heat" Morning Session. Get your shooting in before the sun decides to turn the field into a solar oven.

Sunday, 31st May | 5:00 PM – Sunset

The "Golden Hour" Evening Session. Cooler breezes, beautiful lighting, and absolutely no excuses for missing the target (unless the sunset blinds you, which we will totally accept as a valid excuse).

🎒 What to bring:

1 Your bows and arrows (standard procedure).
2 Water. Lots of it.
3 Whatever SPF factor protects you from looking like a boiled lobster.

Whether you're looking to practice your form or just want to enjoy the cooler weekend air with great company, we can't wait to see you on the field.

☀️ Sun's out, bows out! 🎯

With the gorgeous warm weather here, we know everyone is excited to get outdoor range time. While you’re soaking up the sunshine, we want to make sure you stay safe, comfortable, and ready to shoot your best.

Here is your quick summer archery checklist:

✅ What to Wear & Bring

Sun Protection: Slap on that SPF, rock a baseball cap or bucket hat to shade your eyes, wear sunglasses and stay hydrated!
Form-Fitting Clothes: T-shirts and lightweight layers are great. Just make sure they aren't too baggy so they don't get caught in your string.

❌ What to Leave at Home

Flip-Flops & Sandals: We get it, it's hot! But open-toed shoes are strictly prohibited on the range.

⚠️ Why the shoe rule?

Dropped arrows, heavy equipment, and uneven outdoor terrain don't mix well with bare toes. Closed-toed shoes (like trainers or boots) are mandatory to keep your feet safe.

Go on, you know you want to...

A great weekend for archery - 12 archers on the line this morning and half a dozen planning to shoot tomorrow at 17.00.
Over the last 5 years we have had a multitude of people (20+) make enquiries about having a go via our page and direct messages but, for one reason or another never managed to make it along to try it out!
(Most of this was before we moved to our new location at the Triangle Field)
The interest in the club shows that there are LOTS of locals that really would like a go - Today we have 4 new people come along to have a go and they loved it!!
So if you are reading this and have contacted us in the past but not come along OR your were not aware of our existence and fancy a go OR you used to do archery and have a bow and some arrows gathering dust PLEASE come along!!

Wonderful to see so many Archers at this morning’s shoot. A couple of casualties; just our arrows thankfully! I managed to bend one and Dean broke his in two bits. Otherwise, there was some fine shooting in the glorious sunshine.
