Hungerford Town Council is delighted to launch its 2025 Hungerford in Bloom Competition.

This is a lovely time of year with so much coming into flower. If your gardening efforts are starting to really show results, why not enter the Hungerford in Bloom competition? Whether your garden is large or small, or you just have a few containers, there is a category for you. Prizes and certificates will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in each category and the Margaret Wilson Cup will be awarded for the overall most Eco-Friendly Garden. Please see the entry form for full details.

Entering is easy. You can:

The annual Hungerford in Bloom competition has categories for pubs, shops and all other commercial enterprises and also schools and community groups. If you have installed any sort of floral display at your premises, please enter the competition. The Centre consists of two redecorated halls, brand new showers and toilets, storage and cooking facilities. It is also now fully accessible for wheelchair use with ramps and a wider lighter corridor and foyer. There is a serving hatch for outside events which can be held on the field or under the gazebo. The field has gated access to the canal and electric hook up.
If you’re looking for somewhere to hold a family party, special event, fetes, bootcamps, overnight camping, regular classes or work events, the whole facility can be hired or just parts of the building. In 2015, we took on a 99-year lease of the centre and field from WBC when it was under threat from being demolished and the land sold. Our aim was to protect the facility for use by the community, but it was certainly in need of a refurb. After many months of building work we’re so pleased to have a refurbished community space and the centre is now open.

The interior of the building has been completely refurbished to suit all different hire out needs. There are two redecorated halls, brand new showers and toilets, storage and cooking facilities. It is also now fully accessible for wheelchair use with ramps and a wider lighter corridor and foyer. There is a serving hatch for outside events which can be held on the field or under the gazebo. The field has gated access to the canal and electric hook up and the centre boasts a very large field where camping is permitted.

If you’re looking for somewhere to hold a family party, special event, fetes, boot camps, overnight camping, regular classes or work events, the whole facility can be hired or just parts of the building. All info can be found on our website https://www.hungerford-tc.gov.uk
