Hull Football Skills Academy is a local, independent football school providing a positive, fun and safe footballing experience for children aged two to teen years. All sessions are delivered by FA qualified coaches who have undergone the necessary safeguarding checks. Football sessions consist of ball mastery and game based drills helping young footballers to increase their confidence and develop

Windy sessions on Saturday just gone, but this didn’t derail the children showing some great skill’s and general footwork. The children also worked on reaction time in some 1 vs 1 situations and 2 vs 2 situations and gained an understanding of the importance of having the ball and keeping it. Legends of the week were Daniel, Henry and Dylan for just showing that little more desire than the other children. See you all this Saturday ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️

At HFSA on Saturday morning we ended up with much smaller groups on Saturday morning because of many children travelling to Wembley. As a result we were able to work on Shooting/Finishing as a skill/art and the children seemed to really enjoy this and attenpted to understand the importance of first touch and positional importance when striking the ball. Both Theo and Tyler were just a little better than the rest and as a result took the trophies home. Well done lads and congratulations to Hull City on promotion to the premier league. 🐯🐯

Another two busy sessions at HFSA this Saturday. In our 10-30 group, children brought some lovely weather with them and worked on moves to beat opponents (modric) and then put the modric move into a competitive environment 1vs1. We finished on games and discussed the importance of having the ball compared to not having the ball. Our older boys at 11-30 worked on minimising touches and the effects of always attempting to pass forwards. Legends of the day were Rohan, Thomas and Lawrence in our 10-30 group and Charlie and Hasan took the awards in our 11-30 groups. Well done to all and see you next week ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️

Great sessions this Saturday at HFSA. We had over 20 children working hard to improve their knowledge of the game and their skills/game approach. Our younger Lions/Tigers group worked on defensive positioning and timing, and our older falcons group worked on team shape and balance and the importance of not overcommitting in attack. Our legends of the week were Max and Jacob for aggressive game play and application. Also Daniel was pick of the older group with applying the 2-2 3-1 balance in our small sided game.

Finally we say goodbye to Luke who is leaving us a super competent footballer with amazing foot skills. I’ve coached Luke since he was 4yrs old in firstly the Brazilian Soccer school, then over at Hull Football Skills Academy. We will miss him dearly, but wish him Justin, Suzanne, and Ewan all the best for the future. ❤️❤️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️

Lots of Energy and commitment given this Saturday just gone in our games at HFSA. Children did lots of quick foot skills with the aim to beat opponents as always, followed by fun games emphasising shielding in football.

We welcomed Rosie and Ester to our academy who did remarkably well for a first session. We also had two birthday boys in Lucas and Edward. A very happy birthday to both 🎂🎂.

Legends of the day were Tyler, Jesse abd Jacob who were just a bit better than the rest in the objectives we were trying to apply. Well done everyone. ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️
