A huge shout-out to The Rubbish Magician for bringing the overflowing bins to our attention! 🗑️👏

Fortunately, Ash was on hand to get things sorted!

Ash has been part of Linthwaite FC for a long time and puts his heart and soul into the club. He’s committed, hardworking, always willing to go the extra mile… and, of course, extremely good looking! 🕺

Ash also manages our social media — so yes, he’s the one writing this post right now! 😂

We kindly ask that if you notice any of our bins overflowing, please take any additional rubbish home with you and let us know. We’ll then get the bins emptied as soon as possible.

⚽ HOME GAME DEBUT! 🦁🐆

What a day for our U7s!
Today, our Lions and Leopards played their first ever home games, and we honestly couldn’t be prouder of every single one of them! 💯

Both teams gave it absolutely everything, playing 3 x 8-minute matches across two pitches. The effort, enthusiasm and determination on display was fantastic! 🔥

And while our teams are mainly made up of boys, we’re especially proud of our one amazing girl, who more than holds her own and showed everyone exactly what she can do! 👏

Every single player gave their best, supported their teammates and, most importantly, had an absolute blast! 🙌

Those huge smiles at the end said it all… 🖤🤍🖤

Linthwaite FC would like to celebrate the success of Sophie, who has helped shape so many young individuals within grassroots football.

This evening, she attended the West Riding FA Grassroots Football Awards, having been nominated for Young Volunteer of the Year!

Whilst she didn't win her category, she was presented with a highly commended award, and we couldn't be prouder.

Thank you so much for all you do Sophie, great things await you.

🎟️ 100 CLUB – AUGUST DRAW UPDATE 🎟️

First of all, we’re sorry for the delay in getting the August 100 Club draw carried out.

With a number of our volunteers taking some well-deserved annual leave over the summer, it’s been a bit of a challenge trying to get everyone’s availability to line up and nail down a date for the draw.

But we’ve got there! 🙌

📅 The August 100 Club draw will now take place on Thursday 27th August at the earlier time of 6:30pm on Fb live.

Thank you to everyone for your patience and continued support of the club. 🖤🤍

As always, good luck to everyone who has a number! 🤞💰

⚽️🖤🤍 WILDCATS GIRLS’ FOOTBALL — WE WANT YOU! 🐾

What started as a new group of Wildcats sessions has gone from strength to strength, and the success of creating newly formed teams has been fantastic to see! 🙌

But to keep that momentum going, we’re looking to boost our numbers and get even more girls involved. ⚽️🔥

Our Wildcats sessions are a great way for girls aged 6–10 to:
⚽️ Enjoy fun football sessions
🤝 Make new friends
💪 Build confidence
⭐ Learn new skills
❤️ Most importantly… fall in love with football!

All abilities are welcome — whether they’ve played before or are picking up a football for the very first time.

📅 Wednesdays - 6:15 to 7:15pm

👧 Girls aged 6–10

With the newly formed teams now giving the girls the opportunity to progress into competitive football, we need more players to help keep those teams going and growing.
