Champion of Champions Preview - provided by Neil Slattery:
Gareth Metcalf 50/1 v Danny Sillitoe 16/1
Gareth comes into the final showdown as the rank outsider. He qualified for the event claiming a Saturday sweep a very wet one should be mentioned so will he enjoy the green once the green keeper shaves it to an inch of its life.
Silllitoe qualified with a win early on in the season and hasn't been so much since the turn of the year but he's a solid performer and goes into the clash a strong favourite with the bookie.
Metcalf 5/2 Sillitoe 1/5
Wayne Moseley 11/2 v Gary Siswick 11/2
Wayne qualified for the event claiming multiple wins and comes into the event as the 2nd biggest earner £880 so he's currently off spending his winnings in Magaluf and will hope he brings back the sunshine with him.
Siswick will tell you he's had a dreadful season but managed to claim a victory back in December. Some decent form lately but will be hoping he can add to last year's victory in this prestigious event.
Despite Moz beating Siz to 5 just a fortnight back the bookie can't split this one.
Moseley 4/5 Siswick 4/5
Chris Davies 25/1 v Terry Brook 16/1
Davies qualified picking up a win ealry on in the season also and his form hasn't been strong lately. But he's had a nice break in Costa Rica lately and will be ready to find some form and will be raring to go.
Brook arrives in this event as the only non winner even after his attempts to run a 16 almost every spare Saturday. He does arrive sitting 3rd in the money table £580 he's accumulated over the season reaching 5 finals and as many semis I believe. Terry will be hoping he can finally claim a win this season.
The bookie has Terry as slight favourite for this battle Davies will be heavily supported.
Davies 1/1 Brook 4/6
Jack Dyson 9/4 v Mark Atkinson 12/1
Jack comes into the event topping the money list with £1080 that pot was filled through March mainly and he will tell he struggled for some serious form prior to his amazing run of claiming 6 sweeps on the bounce only Barry Tinker an 8/1 shot could stop him. Jack will be keen to add to his 3 champ titles he's already claimed.
Atkinson not someone you had down as a winter bowler has taken to the green superb and will be looking to go one better than last year. Mark's recent form has been superb losing in close final to Jack recently he soon forgot about that and claimed his second success of the season the following weekend.
The bookie has Jack a solid favourite at 1/3 but Mark will have his backers at 2/1.
Ashley Daykin 7/1 v Ray Whitwam 10/1
Ashley another who qualified with a win in the first few weeks hasn't been at his best in recent weeks. But will be looking to add to his champ of champ wins. With the green starting to shift he'll enjoy nibbling over the crown.
Ray hasn't managed to get his hands on this title but he has claimed many 16s this year playing off minus 3 in recent weeks because of that great run he had after the turn of the year. Ray will sure to be in Terry's ear this week telling him to leave the mower locked away until September time.
Another close betting heat.
Daykin 4/6 Whitwam 1/1
Duncan Reeves 33/1 v Craig Gant 2/1
Well I've heard players doing the rain dance but Dunc will be hoping for snow for Easter weekend. Claiming his victory in 9 inch snow he's found his running.
Craig starts the day off as the favourite to go on and claim his 4th champ of champs title. Craig's hasn't entered so many comps but has taken home £450 his win ratio will leave him on top of the list.
The bookie doesn't give himself much chance the weather forecast does look pretty good.
Reeves 3/1 Gant 1/6
Josh Brown 8/1 v Dave Scott 33/1
Josh another player that hasn't entered many comps this year but he's managed to get in the winners enclosure and he did that day at a canter.
Dave comes into this event as the most experienced player on the green and has claimed this title in the past and that was before half the field had picked a wood up.
Josh is a strong favourite with bookie but this will be a great game to watch.
Brown 1/3 Scott 2/1
Neil Slattery 16/1 v Kieran O'Prey 25/1
Slattery worked his way into this event with victory in the non winners event last weekend so will be hoping to keep that form and join a list of very few players I believe to win this title in there first season.
O'Prey claimed a 16 in recent weeks so will also be hoping his recent form continues and he's looking to add to his 1 win in this event he claimed after scraping in via the points table.
Slattery goes off favourite but can't split this one.
Slattery 4/7 O'Prey 5/4
