Better weekend for the Ton ✅

The firsts put on a brilliant display yesterday resulting in a comfortable win over Skelmanthorpe and of course grabbing 3 important points.
The 2s managed to shrug off an early 2-0 deficit away at Diggle where they pulled the game back coming a way with a well battled point.
The 3s were unfortunately postponed but are eager to get back in action next week. 💪🏼

Huge thanks to all those who turned up to show support for the lads, we hugely appreciate it and congrats Jenno and Max on your well earned MOM awards 🙌🏼

Quick turn around and back to it 💪🏼

Football Saturday’s are back again tomorrow as all three teams are in action and are hungry for a win!
Our 1s welcome Skelmanthorpe to Lightenfield Lane, the 2s travel over the hill to Diggle and the 3s play at Meltham Rd where they greet Boothtown. ⚽️

As always, any and all support is hugely appreciated so if you can make it out to cheer on the boys please do so, be great to see some faces 🙌🏼

A slow start for the 3s 👎🏼

Despite looking the stronger team for most the first half and creating countless chances, the final product lacked again for the 3rd team last night. They travelled up to face Mount who capitalised on an unfortunate OG, kept the momentum and put away a good finish ⚽️

3s back in action tonight 💪🏼

Our 3rd team travel up to Salendine Nook to face off against Mount Reserves in hopes to build on last weeks hard learned lessons and come home with 3 points! ⚽️

Late drama for both teams last night ⚽️

Starting with the 2s, it was a tough game for both sides in their game against North Huddersfield (NH). after going 1-0 up and NH going down to 10 men, the points seemed secure but unfortuantely through a series of very late goals, we were only able to grab the 1 point.

Disaster struck differently though for the 1s after they were cruising 3-0 up at Kirkheaton with 2 from Danny Brooksbank & another from Tom Yarwood after about 70 minutes. Returning striker Luke Wadsworth was involved in a fair challenge which led him to fall and snap his humerus, the referees decision was to abandon the game due to its severity. We send all our best wishes to Waddy and wish him a speedy recovery 👊🏼

Thank you to all who turned out to support, it means the world to us and congrats Jeppy on your brace & well deserved MOM award 🙌🏼

A tough start to the season for the 3s ⚽️

The 3rd team were unfortunately bested in their opening game of the season by a strong Slawit side. Despite the score line, there was plenty of positives to build on going forward. Lessons learned and on to the next as always 🙌🏼

Midweek openers done ✅

The 2s unfortunately couldn’t hold on to their lead at home to Woolpack, coming away with just the 1 point in their opening game.
The 2s sadly suffered a loss to a strong Shelley side but battled until the final whistle.
Plenty to take in to next week where the lads look to right any wrongs 🙌🏼

Our season gets underway this evening with both the 1st and 2nd team looking for an early 3 points!
The 1s welcome Woolpack to Lightenfield Lane whereas the 2s travel up to Shelley 👊🏼

Both should be great games to kick start the season ahead and as always any and all support is hugely appreciated 🤝🏼

Here is what our preparation for the coming season looks like so far 🙌🏼

All are welcome to our training sessions (16+) that take place every TUESDAY at Lightenfield Lane Rec. Feel free to drop us a message or just turn up at a session 💪🏼

Some good games for the lads also so if you can turn out and support them as they look to ready themselves for a brilliant season ⚽️

We still have slots for more friendlies so keep your eyes open for any updates to our schedule and if you would like to arrange a friendly, feel free to get in touch! 🙌🏼
