🧡Tiff's Top Tips- Orange 4🧡

Start position...Match on the start crimp, place your left foot on the sloped foot hold with your knee to the left. Flag with your right foot.

Push left with your flagged right foot and up with your left foot to reach the next crimp with your left hand.

Bring your right foot to the small edge under the start hold, then flag your left foot low and rock over your right foot. Move your right hand to the next side-pull crimp.

Swap feet and flag out with your right foot for stability and bring your left hand to the side of the volume. This should give you enough stability and the correct position to move your right foot onto the next foot hold.

Bring your left hand over the top to the crimp on the right hand side of the black volume, then use this as a Gaston to rock your weight over your right foot.

Move your right hand to the second to last hold. This is a bad hold, so you're going to want to bump your right hand straight to the finish hold.

Swap feet and flag right (or to avoid the foot swap try an inside flag, if you're feeling fancy) to match the top!

And there you have it!...oh and of course, don't forget to brush!!

🔴Tiffs Top Tips- Red 2🔴

For the start, foot placement and body positioning is crucial! Getting a heel hook with your right foot draws your hips into the wall and gives better grip on the sloping start hold.

Pull up to the good crimp with your right hand, then swap feet and flag out with your right foot to help push you towards the next hand hold, then reach with your left hand (the hold on the volume is quite small so control and precision is key here!)

Follow with more flagging keeping your hips close to the wall to get the best out of the holds. Once you get to the first hold on the top volume it's a very high right foot to the hold on the lower volume, then reach with your right hand to the second to last hold with your right hand and match.

Then it's a big rock over to reach the final hold. From there, swap feet and bring your right foot down directly underneath you, bringing your centre of gravity beneath the finish hold makes the final match a lot easier.

Good luck!...and don't forget to brush!!

💛Tiff's Top Tips- Yellow 10💛

Yellow 10 is all about stepping through, flagging out and twisting.

If you're struggling on overhangs, this is the perfect climb to get practicing these three basic techniques that will help you level up!

This combination of these three techniques aids the upper body by bringing the shoulder of your leading hand towards the wall, closing the distance to the next hold. Think of it this way, if you are square on to the wall you are hanging away from it, increasing the distance to the next hold. To help close that gap you need to bring the shoulder and hip (the same side as the hand you are going to lead with) towards the wall.

Stepping through....
Use this to position the foot (the same side as the hand you are going to lead with)

Flagging out...
You always flag out with the opposite foot to the hand that you are to lead with. Stick your leg out and touch your foot to the wall. This creates balance and allows your reach to be at its fullest....don't forget to push up onto your tiptoes to increase that reach even further.

Twisting...
This is where you need to engage those core muscles! Once in a flagging position, twist on your toes to get the hip and shoulder (the same side as the hand you are going to lead with) closer to the wall and hold to make your move to the next hand hold. The flagging foot can help you hold that position if you press it to the wall.

Watch this a couple of times, give it a try and let us know how you get on!
