With over 35 years experience in martial arts, 25 years coaching and a dedicated gym for 11 years, TMAKB is a welcoming community for everyone wishing to learn:

Self Defence

Suitable for all ages & abilities. Opening its first class in Kirkheaton before other classes started at Newsome and Marsh and then Nirvana Fitness before eventually moving to its own premises in Lock

wood, Huddersfield. TMA has combined the traditional aspects of the Korean Martial Arts with a modern attitude to training and self defence. Incorporating a Martial Art programme offering the traditional high section, jumping and spinning kicks of ITF Taekwondo with Western style boxing and low section kicking of modern kickboxing & Muay Thai. To this day TMA is still evolving, as is its instructors and students, to achieve the highest standard possible within the Martial Arts and ones self.

Contrary to popular belief, sparring has nothing at all to do with “beating each other up”.
This video is Class Sparring allowing all ages and abilities to practice techniques and defence in a safe environment.
