Easter Training

Training is on as normal for both Tykes and Tigers tonight, we look forward to seeing you all there.

There is no training on Easter Sunday.

Black Belt patterns will be on as normal Tuesday 22nd and Tykes and Tigers are both training again as normal Wednesday 23rd.

Have you ever wanted to try a martial art but not known where to start? Now is the ideal opportunity to give it a go with Phantom Tiger Taekwondo in our own purpose built Dojang.
Come along and join our free ‘have a go’ session on Sunday 6th April 4-5:30pm at The Mill HD3, Longwood.
Open to everyone of all abilities and any level of fitness or experience from age 8 years and up.
Just wear loose, comfortable clothes, bring a water bottle and come ready to have fun, make new friends and learn a little more about this great martial art in our non-profit community club.

We are located in our purpose-built martial arts studio at The Mill HD3, Longwood.
Large matted training area, male and female changing rooms, gym, spin area and lounge.
Not training? Take advantage of our lounge area with sofas, tuck shop, refreshments, library and children's toys/activities. Or if you want to work out while waiting, why not use our gym facilities?

Wednesday's Tykes classes are for ages 4 to 7. All other classes are for ages 8 to adult. We have a comfortable spectating area with sofas, refreshments, library and toys. Or use the gym while you wait.

🕡 6.30pm to 8.00pm (+ 8.00pm to 8.30pm, additional half an hour for adults and senior grades)
SUNDAY
🕓 4.00pm to 5.30pm (+ 5.30pm to 6.00pm, additional half an hour for adults and senior grades)

🌼 Spring is here 🌼 and the Phantom Tigers have been busy.
There isn’t a surface, toy or piece of equipment in our home 'The Mill HD3' (https://www.facebook.com/themillhd3) that hasn’t been spring cleaned. All ready for an exciting year ahead with new plans, equipment and classes - watch this space 👀.

It’s Restart a Heart day 2024 and what better day could there be to have installed our defibrillator in the gym following everyone’s fundraising efforts earlier this year.

The Mindray C1 defibrillator is fully automatic and is set up to work on both adults and children with just the flick of a switch.

BUT! In addition to the defibrillator in the gym, the club raised such a fantastic sum that we have a second defibrillator to install in a locking cabinet outside in an area that is permanently accessible to the local community whenever it is needed. This will be being installed at the earliest possible opportunity and will be registered on the National database so that paramedics and doctors can easily direct members of the public to it in an emergency.

In addition to the money raised we have been able to obtain 2 defibrillators thanks to the fantastic work of London Hearts who have applied funding grants to the purchase and covered the VAT on the units leaving us with sufficient funds to maintain both machines for the next 20 years.

Everyone should be able to use the defibrillator if ever needed and the link below will take you to a training video showing you how to use the machine.

A huge thank you to everyone who contributed and helped with all of the fundraising. This is down to all of your efforts and is a testament to the incredible club that is Phantom Tiger Taekwondo.

September is here again. For some of us, it's a really exciting time of year. For a lot of people though, a new class or school or job is a very anxious and intimidating time.

Tigers- please look around you, especially those just heading back to school.
If you see someone alone, perhaps you could start a conversation?
If you see someone being picked on, perhaps you could go and walk or sit with them?
If you are that person- come tell one of us. We can help.

For any parents out there who are worried their child may be bullied and would like to help them build confidence and make friends- give taekwondo a go. New starters always welcome and first three sessions are free.

For any parents who are worried that their child might just be that bully- come and talk to us. We can help you too.

Tomorrow’s the day! It’s almost time to jump out of a plane at 15,000ft to raise money to fund the installation of a new defibrillator outside Phantom Tiger Taekwondo Huddersfield The Mill HD3 in Longwood Milnsbridge for the use of the whole community

Sooooo… this time next week eight of our Phantom Tiger Taekwondo members will be raising money to install a community AED at our gym The Mill HD3 to save lives in and around our Longwood/Milnsbridge neighbourhood by jumping out of an aeroplane at 15000 feet up.
Ranging from 17 to 58 years old, one of our intrepid skydive crew has never actually been in a plane before!
