As the season ends for Mount FC, there’s a real sense around the club that this year has been about far more than just results, it’s been about progress, resilience, and building foundations for the future.
The First Team showed incredible character in the second half of the campaign, producing a remarkable unbeaten run throughout 2026 that ultimately secured their place and ensured survival from relegation. Week after week, the squad dug deep, showing togetherness, determination, and belief when it mattered most. Unfortunately the unbeaten streak came to an end on the final day of the season, although it just shows how far the squad has come under new gaffer Grant
The Second Team also enjoyed a landmark season, recording their highest points total in recent years, a massive achievement and a clear reflection of the development taking place throughout the club. Consistency, hard work, and commitment have helped the side reach new levels, and the improvement shown from the start of the season to the end has been outstanding.
Across both teams, this season has shown just how far Mount FC has come. There is genuine momentum building within the club, and a real good positive feeling around the club.
A huge thank you goes to all the players, members of committee making everything happen behind the scenes, the sacrifices lads make to show up on a Saturday, and last but not least thank you to everyone at the The Junction Pub for the hospitality.
