🏊‍♂️ SPECIAL OLYMPICS NATIONAL SUMMER GAMES – WHAT AN INCREDIBLE FOUR DAYS! 🏊‍♀️

After four gruelling, emotional and unforgettable days on poolside with BoK’s Para Performance Swimming Squad, the Special Olympics National Summer Games have officially come to a close.

Teams from across the country came together for an incredible competition, united by one powerful message:

🌟 I CAN 🌟

And these athletes have certainly shown everyone exactly what they CAN do.

Over the past four days, the team have laughed, cried, supported one another, celebrated each other’s achievements and, most importantly, had fun. They’ve created memories that will last a lifetime and formed friendships that will continue long after the medals have been packed away.

Team BoK Para Squad leave the Games with an incredible 23 medals:

🏅 2 × Participation Medals
🏅 4 × 5th Place Medals
🥉 5 × BRONZE Medals
🥈 3 × SILVER Medals
🥇 And a phenomenal 9 × GOLD MEDALS!

What an achievement! 👏

We could not be prouder of every single athlete who represented the squad. Your determination, courage, sportsmanship and team spirit have been outstanding.

Well done, Team BoK — you’ve done yourselves, your families and your squad incredibly proud.

Now we look ahead to the Special Olympics World Games 2031! 🌍🏊‍♂️🏅

2026 is just around the corner for BoK’s Para Performance swimming squad. The team head down to Birmingham on Tuesday 25th August in time for the opening ceremony. They’re all very excited as this competition only comes around every 4 years!!
Let’s come together as one squad and wish them all the best 💚

A huge thank you to all of our incredible coaches and volunteers for giving up your weekend to make Camp 2026 such a fantastic experience. Your time, energy, patience, and dedication are truly appreciated, and none of this would have been possible without you.

We hope all of our swimmers have had an amazing time, made new friendships, built confidence, and created memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you to everyone who helped make the weekend so special! we can’t wait to do it all again next year! 🖤💚🏊‍♀️

What a weekend! 💚🖤

From swimming, Sports Day, rounders, orienteering and football, to enjoying the amazing sunshine in beautiful surroundings, we were so lucky to spend the entire weekend outdoors together. ☀️

The young people at BOK Swimming Club work incredibly hard throughout the season, and it has been a privilege to watch them relax, reset and simply enjoy themselves.

Every year this camp is about so much more than sport. It’s about building friendships, creating lifelong memories, developing strength, confidence and resilience, and encouraging everyone to keep stepping outside their comfort zones.

We are immensely proud of each and every one of our swimmers and everything they have achieved this season.

The 2026 swim season has been phenomenal, and we can’t wait to see what the next season has in store for this incredible team.

Performance Squad’s Evie Lambert returns from the Commonwealth Games having achieved so much. She got to the final twice in the 200 IM and the 100 freestyle and came in 8th in the 200 IM and 6th in the 100 freestyle. I am told she had an amazing time - her friends at KAL / BOK couldn’t be more proud of her.
