Does anyone have a large camping type tarpaulin or ground sheet they are no longer using. We could do with 2 of these to cover the off field areas where the subs and managers stand to save the grass from damage during the winter. If anyone has anything they could donate please get in touch, it would be much appreciated. Thanks 👍

Hoyland Town juniors have exciting new opportunities for anyone that would love to go into junior football club coaching. Come and join a team that have been established in the local area for 25 years.
All coaching badges and training courses will be funded by the club.
We have opportunities from under 7s and 8s up to under 13s and 14s.

' ANTONY WILDSMITH'

It is with great sadness that we have to post this tribute to a man taken far too soon from his family, friends and our football club.

The news of Antony’s untimely passing was met with shock and disbelief by everyone.

Antony was the manager of the under tens team. He was always enthusiastic, passionate and so proud of his squad which Ant and his close friend Richard had brought together.

Antony was a kind and humble man who enjoyed the
time he spent with his players, witnessing them develop and improve. He valued most their smiles, laughter and their successes that were always going to come as a result of the happy environment Antony and Richard created. He was a true ambassador for all that is good in football both at junior and senior levels.

Antony was passionate, helpful and always made the time and effort for everyone, whether in training or in games. He approached his responsibilities with professionalism, genuine kindness, pride and pleasure. The tributes posted by his team clearly show how much he was valued by all the people who had witnessed his dedication and qualities.

On behalf of everyone at Hoyland Town Junior Football Club, ' The Magpies ' I would like to take this opportunity to echo the sentiments given by his team. Antony will be greatly missed by everyone at the club both from a footballing point of view and as a good friend to many.

At this difficult time it is with so many happy memories that we remember him and send our sincere thoughts and love to his family and friends.
