UTS Run Club

We meet in West Kirby on Monday for a hill session and in Hoylake on Thursday for a speed session. Both start at 6.30pm. Please message for further details.

We are a friendly club suitable for all ages and abilities based in Hoylake/West Kirby, Wirral. Training takes place on Monday and Thursday evenings at 6:30pm. On Monday we meet at the Concourse Car Park, West Kirby. On Thursday we meet at the large Hoylake Station car park. We help provide a structured and progressive training environment helping you to reach your potential as a runner.

21/03/26 - The Wirral Summer Trail Series is back and we had a team of nine runners taking part this evening, with three finishing in the top 10! Fantastic weather and organisation, and a thoroughly enjoyable event - all whilst helping raise money for Running Head First!

We are already looking forward to race two next month!

No, it’s not an April Fool - the start of the new England Athletics membership year is our tenth year as an affiliated club, taking us to our tenth anniversary on 1 April 2027! We look forward to celebrating this milestone throughout the year, and catching up with some of our original members to see where they are now, and what being part of UTS Run Club did for them!

We had ladies’ and men’s teams at the annual Sefton Park Cross Challenge, one member running down John Lennon airport runway and a healthy turnout at our Christmas party in November.

YEAR IN REVIEW - OCTOBER 2025

We attended a tour of the new facility in October, celebrated our summer successes with a meal at Hickory’s in West Kirby, had runners and volunteers at Chester marathon, saw a handful of runners take part in the ever increasingly popular Manchester half marathon, had a strong turnout at the Snowdonia marathon and put on some great performances at the latest XC fixture at Sherdley Park.

YEAR IN REVIEW - SEPTEMBER 2025

It wouldn’t be September without the multi terrain series, and the club put in a good turnout for all four races, with three of our ladies taking home prizes. The club also took part in its first relay event in many years, fielding teams at the North West Road Relays. And as the multi terrain series ended, Borders League began for another season.
