The storm warnings were out and there were mild conditions at the first of the Midlands mini series events, the County Cooler.

Really cheap entry level boat here of anyone saw quicksilver at the weekend and fancied a merlin. There's also a Notts based JT Canterbury tales for sale which is a great entry boat with all the mods to go and have a go on the circuit. NSM2 design. Second set of sails with sail number that does not match the hull - main, jib and sail bag. Set of Hyde sails with matching sail number - main, jib and sail bags. Top batten pocket requires repair.

Merlin rocket 3390 "spruce goose"
NSM4 white whale design (so was painted from new) built in 1986 by Rowsell and Morrison (I have the original measurement certificate).

Has had a complete renovation over the last 6 months including a full repaint and lots of rigging updates. It now has a continuous kicker and auto puller on the mast ram (so no need to worry about downwind mast inversion). I've tried to keep the rigging as simple as possible to operate so could make a great first merlin for someone.

Comes with:
2 DS main sails
1 DS jib
1 standard size kite, 1 old size kite
Cover- new last year so is in good condition
Sovreign combi - repainted this year
Rudder- also repainted this year.
