Dear Members, Players, Parents and Supporters,

I wanted to take a moment to personally thank you for being such an important part of the Lundy Tennis journey.

As many of you may know, Lundy Tennis will come to an end running the coaching programme at Strathgryffe after 3 and a half years so that I can take up a new position with Tennis Scotland as Scottish Player Development Centre (SPDC) Head Coach and National Manager (16U).

This opportunity is one that I am incredibly excited about, but it is also bittersweet. Over the years, it has been a privilege to work with so many dedicated players, supportive families and enthusiastic tennis lovers. Together, we have celebrated successes, overcome challenges and created a fantastic tennis community that I am immensely proud of.

Your trust, commitment and support have played a huge role in making Lundy Tennis what it is today. Whether you attended coaching sessions, competitions, camps, social events or simply supported from the side-lines, you have helped create an environment where players can learn, develop and enjoy the game.

I am deeply grateful for the friendships, memories and experiences that I will take with me into this next chapter. While my role is changing, I look forward to continuing to contribute to the development of tennis across Scotland and hopefully crossing paths with many of you in the future.

Thank you once again for your support, loyalty and enthusiasm. It has been an honour to be part of your tennis journey.

Wishing you all continued success and enjoyment on and off the court.

A fantastic night last night to wrap up another great squash season at Strathgryffe.

The evening began with a thrilling Senior Final between Blair and Joe, with Blair coming out on top to claim his third consecutive championship title.

Next up was the Open Final between Scott and Ross. This year, age and beauty prevailed, with Ross winning a hard-fought match to take the title.

We were also treated to some professional squash, as Scottish pros and put on an excellent exhibition for a packed crowd.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to support the players and help make it such a brilliant evening. A special mention must go to Anna for serving up some delicious burgers on the BBQ – definitely one of the highlights of the night!

Finally, thank you to our incredible sponsors for their continued support of the teams throughout the season. We couldn’t do it without you.

SCOTTISH CUP SEMI FINAL 🏆

Best of luck to our men’s team playing against Newlands in the semi-final of the Scottish Cup.

Date: Saturday 6th June
Venue: Newlands Tennis Club, 18 Mochrum Road, GLASGOW, G43 2QE
Time: 12.30pm
Spectators more than welcome.

Squash Champs Finals and Special Exhibition Match

We will be playing club champs finals this Friday the 5th of June.

We will be playing the veterans final followed by main competition final that evening. As a special treat the squash committee have also organised a special exhibition match between two of the top professionals who represented Scotland at the recent European championships in Amsterdam. World Ranked 209 John Meehan vs World Ranked 299 Andrew Glen. This will be quite a spectacle as this comes straight after John winning the Lisbon PSA satellite competition last weekend and will be a great showcase game to finish the season.

The first final will start at 6.30pm. we would love all Squashers young and old to come and lend their support for the finalists and the visiting PSA players. Should be a great night of Squash and a good social event.

We will be firing up the bbq and burgers will be provided (by the committee, thanks to our sponsors) for those down to support. Dana has also stocked the bar for those wishing a beer or two.

Look forward to seeing as many of you at the club this Friday evening.

The ladies , junior and plate finals will be played at a later date once the draws have been completed.

For those that need a fix of squash before Friday then we are planning on playing the quarters finals tonight from 7pm and semi finals Thursday from 6.30pm.

Hope to see as many of you down as possible.
