That's a wrap, our first season completed. We finished off with our own, small presentation night for the lads where we gave each of them an end of Season gift and awarded the special trophies which were earned across the season.

A great night had by all, I think the parents might have enjoyed it a little more than the lads🤣

Well done to all of the lads on their efforts, especially towards the end of the season. We're extremely lucky to have a great bunch of lads playing for the team and to be surrounded by supportive parents.

Training tonight (10/06/2026 6pm) and then we prepare to do it all again as Under 15's !!

WASHINGTON TIGERS (3) vs (1) HETTON JUVENTUS.
The last game of the season for the lads at a baking hot Washington hub. The lads decided they wanted to play "position roulette" where they each pick a piece of paper with a position on and they have to play that position !!.

We did end up with players all over the park and not in their usual roles including a fantastic headed goal from our usual Goalkeeper (Adam) but all of the lads seemed to enjoy it🤣.
Despite these changes the lads gave Washington a tough game and we were lucky not to take the lead a couple of times. Some decisions didn't go our way and it cost us but that's football !!

It was EXTREMELY difficult to pick out a MOTM as everyone really put a shift in so we had to pick 2. Both lads never stopped all game and it was great to see their energy, work rate and determination during the game - well done Ollie & our new signing Josh - great work lads !

We'd also like to wish Jack Newman all the very best for the future as he leaves us to play for a side at his own age level. Jack has been a great all rounder for us and an absolute rock in defence (just wish he'd been in that position all season)🤣. Good luck mate - not that you'll need it👍

Its been a pleasure coaching these lads over the season (even though we didn't always get the best results) and we're looking forward to next season. We'll have a week off, our mini presentation this Saturday and then we'll look at organising some friendlies, tournaments and training for the next season.

HETTON JUVENTUS (6) vs BRANDON WHITES (1)
After Saturdays defeat the lads dusted themselves down and re grouped to face a Brandon Whites.
The lads came out like a different team and started to apply the passing & movement plan we'd been working on. Can't fault any of the lads tonight, the effort levels were through the roof and they won every individual battle on the pitch which reaped the rewards. Some great goals from Carl & Jaxon to ease the pressure on us. Ollie put some graft in for his goal and bagged a 5th & Archie slotted home perfectly from the spot at the end. - Well done lads !!

HETTON JUVENTUS (1) vs WASHINGTON BLACKS (5)
Hetton travelled to Washington on a red hot Saturday and on paper we should have came back with 3 points.
A couple of early mistakes led to Washington going 2 goals infront and after that our heads went down and we invited wave after wave of pressure onto us. Credit to Washington but gutted we didnt come away with something.

HETTON JUVENTUS U14S vs WINDRUSH
The lads were unlucky not to come away with at least a point on Wednesday night after a tough, battling performance. They came up against a strong, aggressive Windrush side that have won a lot of their games by a comfortable margin. The lads more than held their own and we're very unlucky not to get something out of the game, a late goal for Windrush ended up deciding the game - that's football.
Their were some great performances across the pitch and a battling performance from the lads which was great to see.
⚽️⚽️2 brilliant goals and a great all round performance from Carl, well done mate.

🏆MOTM Went to Jagveer, great performance all over the pitch when he came on, work rate through the roof and didn't shy out of any battle - well done mate.

More shooting drills last night at Hetton (No pics or videos this week - too busy collecting footballs 🤣) to hopefully help the lads bag a few goals in the last few games of the season.

Training at Eppleton on Monday night for the Juventus lads. This week was geared towards shooting practice which the lads took to well.

No training for the lads on Monday due to the Bank Holiday so we squeezed a session in on Wednesday evening. Couple of drills and a game to keep the lads ticking over.
