WE HAVE DONE IT! RAR win the league title in Horden this morning 🏆

Comfortable win in all fairness. The lads made easy work of it in the end and finished our season on a high winning the division title!

Coach Neil Stevenson got on the score sheet with a bullet of a header 👏🏼

Unfortunately Coach Lee Stoker didn’t get the call up today, he’s still recovering from last week 🤦🏽‍♂️

Words from Gary Hall “Excellent effort from the squad today done what was needed against a battling Hordon side to finish the season undefeated. Proud of everyone associated with this club from players/coaches and the fans who come week in week out to support the lads. None of this is possible without everyone together.”

Words from David Scott “The lads headed to Horden this morning knowing a win would secure the league, got off to a shaky start but once we opened the scoring midway into 1st half before adding a 2nd just before half time we were more comfortable HT 2-0. 2nd half more of the same from the lads continuing to do the right stuff and we added a further 4 more goals, completing the league and cup treble.”

Last weeks match ends in defeat in the semi final against premier league opponents and previous county cup winners Easington Colliery Welfare.

We gave it a good go with the bare bones. We caused ECW a lot of problems but their quality shone through.

Words from David Scott “The RAR suffer their 1st defeat of the season to high flying ECW in the semi final. It was an unreal effort from all involved today worked tirelessly for each other with a lot of broken bodies after Fridays final. Good luck to ECW for the remainder of the season good set of lads and top players.”

The lads complete the double with a convincing win over Haswell oddies, We took the lead with Karl P 1st of the night after putting the afterburners on and beating the defender before a tidy finish finish HT 1-0
2nd half was more scrappy lots of long ball and not much football played but we did grab our 2nd of the night again Powney with a overhead kick 💪
