🏏 UNDER 11s – CHAMPIONS! 🏆💙💛
What a way to finish the season!
Philadelphia CC Under 11s signed off with a fantastic 13-run victory over Sunderland CC, posting 92/9 from 16 overs before producing another determined bowling and fielding display to restrict Sunderland to 64/6.
It was a real team effort, with everyone contributing throughout the match and across the season. The players have worked incredibly hard, supported each other every step of the way, and continued to improve week after week. Guided by coach Stephen Hall.

Finishing the season top of the table with 186 points, this young squad has shown outstanding commitment, teamwork and resilience all season long.

⭐U13 Philadelphia vs East Rainton⭐

A fantastic all-round team performance from the Philadelphia CC U13s as we secured a 51-run victory over East Rainton CC!
Winning the toss and choosing to bat first, we posted an impressive 141-4 from our 20 overs. A special mention goes to
⭐ Lewis Wilson (33),
⭐ Jake Moody (33)
⭐ Max Pearson (31)
Who had to retire after reaching 30.
There were useful contributions throughout the innings, including Sam Medhurst finishing unbeaten on 8 from 2 balls.
Our bowlers then backed it up brilliantly, restricting East Rainton to 90-5. Wickets were shared around with:

⭐ U15 Match Report - Philadelphia CC U15 away to Boldon CA CC ⭐

A fantastic effort from our U15s today, who came up just short in a thrilling contest against Boldon CA CC, losing by 3 wickets.

Batting first, Philadelphia posted 110/6 from 20 overs. There were valuable contributions throughout the innings, led by:
🌟 Austin Caris – 45 including 9 fours
Josh Willmott – 16
Luca Wilkinson – 9
Luke Marriott – 8

Our bowlers fought hard to defend the total and kept the game alive until the closing stages:
⭐ Matthew Stephenson – 2 wickets for 18 runs from 4 overs
Zach Bailey – 2 wickets (1 caught and bowled)
Austin Caris – 1 wicket
Josh Willmott – 1 wicket
Boldon eventually reached 111/7 in 19.5 overs, securing victory with just one ball remaining.

🏏 UNDER 11s Home to Littletown 🏏

What a performance from our Under 11s today! 💙💛
Philadelphia CC won the toss and elected to bowl. Sam struck with a wicket after just a couple of balls to set the tone, and the whole team backed it up with outstanding bowling and fielding.
A special mention to our Under 9s who stepped up brilliantly today—you've all earned your place and should be incredibly proud! 👏
🌟 Bowling highlights:
Sam Medhurst – 4 wickets (Player of the Match 🏅)
Ethan Blake – 3 wickets
Wickets also for Eva, Ethan M and Hector
Fielding was exceptional, with Loui producing 3 run outs and a stumping. The energy and teamwork in the field were outstanding.
🌟 Batting was our best of the season! We posted 127-4 from 16 overs, our highest total this year, before bowling Littletown out for 63 to secure a fantastic 99-run victory!

The improvement with the bat was clear, with far fewer wickets lost and brilliant running between the wickets. Everyone contributed, supported each other, and played as a real team.

⭐ U13 Match Report - Wednesday 24th June ⭐
A tough one to take for our Philadelphia CC Under 13s, who fell just 1 run short in a thrilling contest against Washington CC.
Chasing 89 to win, the team fought hard all the way to 87 all out in 17.4 overs, with every run and wicket making a difference.
Some standout performances included:
🏏 Max Pearson top-scoring with 21
🏏 Matthew Gibson and Thomas Briggs adding 15 each
🏏 Great determination shown by every player right to the final wicket.
There were also excellent contributions with the ball and in the field, with the team restricting Washington to 88/7 from their 20 overs and taking wickets throughout the innings.
While the result didn't go our way, the effort, resilience and team spirit on display were something to be proud of. Losing by just one run shows how competitive this group is, and there are plenty of positives to build on.
Well done to both teams on a fantastic game played in the right spirit. On to the next one!

A fantastic team performance from our U11 team as they secured a 7-run victory over Sunderland CC in a closely contested league match at Philadelphia CC.
Batting first, Philadelphia posted a net score of 127 from 107/9 off 16 overs. Contributions came throughout the order, with:
⭐ Sam Medhurst – 13 from 9 balls (3 fours)
⭐ Eva Stephenson – 13 from 14 balls
⭐ Loui Hall – 12 from 13 balls
⭐ Thomas Briggs – 10 from 11 balls
An impressive 71 extras also helped build a competitive total.
Defending the target, our bowlers and fielders were outstanding, restricting Sunderland to a net score of 120 from 75/4 off 16 overs.

A tough evening for our U15s against Sunderland CC, who posted 135 all out from 18.3 overs. Our bowlers kept battling throughout, with standout performances from:
⭐ Joshua Willmott – 4 wickets for 15 runs from 2 overs
⭐ Zach Bailey – 2 wickets for just 4 runs from 1.3 overs
⭐ Austin Caris and L Wilkinson – 1 wicket each
Chasing 136, Philadelphia finished on 119/4 from 20 overs, falling just 16 runs short.
Batting highlights:
🏏 Austin Caris retired not out on 51 from 43 balls, including 7 fours
🏏 Luke Marriott remained unbeaten on 26
🏏 Lewis Wilson contributed 15

Despite the result, there were plenty of positives with some excellent individual performances and great determination shown right to the final over.

⭐ U13 Philadelphia home to Burnmoor ⭐

A brilliant effort from our Philadelphia CC Under 13s today as they recorded an excellent 8-wicket win over Burnmoor CC U13 Gold.

After choosing to field first, the team worked hard in the field, taking regular wickets and keeping the scoring under control. There were wickets shared around the team, with Lewis Wilson taking 2 wickets, while several other bowlers chipped in with one each. Special mention to Eva Stephenson, whose economical spell of 2 overs, 1 maiden, 1 run conceded helped keep the pressure on throughout.

Chasing 73 to win, the team batted positively and reached the target in just 8 overs. Lewis Wilson top scored with 31 from 22 balls, including 5 fours and a six and retired not out, supported by Jake Moody with 19 from 16 balls, while Noah Smiles finished unbeaten to help see the team home.

Well done to the under 13s👏

A fantastic team performance from Philadelphia CC Under 15s as they secured a 33-run victory over Burnmoor CC U15 Gold.

Batting first, Philadelphia posted 111-3 from 20 overs, with valuable contributions from:
L Wilson – 32* including three fours
T Medhurst – 28 including five fours
A Caris – 28, including a six and three fours
The bowlers then took control, restricting Burnmoor to 78-8, with standout spells from:
M Stephenson – 3 wickets for 6 runs
A Caris – 2 wickets for 4 runs

A real all-round team effort, backed up by sharp fielding and great energy throughout the game.

⭐ Under 9s -Sunday 14th June ⭐

🏏 A busy morning for our U9s with two fantastic performances in the Durham Cricket Board junior league

💛 Philadelphia Gold secured a brilliant 15-run victory over Sacriston, posting 102/3 (Net Score 112) before restricting Sacriston to a Net Score of 97.

❤️ Philadelphia Maroon came up against a strong Durham City side. Despite the result not going their way, the team showed great effort and determination throughout, finishing on 57/4 (Net Score 67).

A huge well done to all of our U9 players for their hard work, enthusiasm and teamwork. The progress being made every week is fantastic to see, and most importantly, everyone played with great spirit and smiles on their faces. 👏🏏
