The girls this morning were absolutely fantastic. Missing two key players, the team had to pull together and work super hard. We went up by a goal, and were pulled back level twice...until we pulled away for the 3rd time and managed to keep the lead to take out the match!
We didnt give up, and kept pushing! As always, still things to work on but incredibly proud of the team.
Special mention to Elsie and her amazing triple save (amongst others). But POM today went to Kasey. Today I thought she was fantastic ⚽️💛💙 Super proud of everyone this morning!

Truth be told, I could have given POM to every single one of the girls on Saturday. Each and every one worked their socks off.
Hannah, never gave up and took control of the match! Nancy, work rate was outstanding, defended brilliantly and got a goal!
Addie-Rose, turned on beast mode and muscled players off the ball, to then go forward with it. Georgia, goals goals goals...and a lot of hard work and effort with it. Louisa, stepped up in defence and protected Elsie well with some excellent tackles. Penny, learnt to never give up and fought with some excellent tackles and passes forward. Elsie, 2 assists and numerous saves...outstanding. But, I said to the girls...the POM for this week is Mina. She finally got her goal. Took her turn in defence when needed and then put all her hard work into practice up front. Got in some fantastic spaces and got some excellent shots away.
Blown away by you girls this morning. Excellent win!!
Well done all!!!! Proud coach.

What a start to the season today for the U9 Lionesses!
1st match as a 7v7 side, 1st official match together...and the girls smashed it!! They worked so well together, passed well, made excellent runs, took their chances and came away with a fantastic win!!
