🌑🟠 HTFC End of Season Trip 🌑🟠
A few weekends ago, the HTFC lads took on the Otley Run, and to absolutely nobody's surprise, it descended into chaos.🍻⚽ No serious injuries this time round though 😮💨
We started off in the hotel with lads arriving in comfortable clothes ready to get changed in the hotel, well all except one. Matty Stephenson turned up already head to toe in his Where’s Wally costume due to his early departure time. We would’ve paid good money to watch Stevo navigate Leeds train station half cut and still looking like a Wally.
Whilst in the lobby we did a little end of season presentation to get us off to a good start.
The awards were as follows;
🏆Player of the season - Elliot Joe
⚽️Top scorer - Liam Lusk
🍺Biggest P**s Head - Joseph Calvert (Results were closer than expected. I promise)
😫Biggest moaner - Scott King (I bet you can’t guess how he reacted)
🩼Stiffest hips - Matty Stephenson
🪮Most Vain - Daniel Johnston
🔵Once in Blue Moon Award - Kyle Davis
Ubers were booked and we started off towards Woodies Ale House. The excitement was palpable. Drinks bought straight into the beer garden, we were off to a flyer.
What followed was nothing short of legendary.
From Jonta being sick after the second pub (I will spare him the video but it’ll be replayed in group chats for many years to come). To Joseph Milburn, who turned up at pub 6 and proceeded to put in the performance of a lifetime. I’ve never seen a quieter bloke get up to so much mischief. 🤥
As the evening progressed, coordination disappeared, conversations got louder, dance moves got more questionable.
Some of the later pubs were a blur but looking around in the Dry Dock to see 15 Wheres Wally’s all grooving together was a thing of beauty 🥹
A special mention to all those who made it out afterwards, Manhatta and PopWorld were the unlucky bars to greet us. 4:30am finish 🥴
The next morning was a grim sight. Sore heads, empty wallets and one very defeated looking Goalkeeper with an untouched breakfast next to him.
A fantastic day out for the boys which will be written into Houghton Town Folklore.
Until the next one... 🍻⚽
