Members meet for Social Tennis throughout the year on Saturday afternoons and Sunday mornings. The all weather court can also be used anytime during the week. A booking system is in place to book courts and to contact other members to arrange games. The club is registered with the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) and enter mens + ladies teams into the Northumberland & Durham and Sunderland leagues. D

uring the summer club tournaments are held for mens + ladies singles & doubles. Also the Joe Stavers tournament is held annually on a Sunday morning in late August followed by refreshments. Winners of club tournaments are presented with their trophies at a presentation night at the end of the season. In addition to the Tennis, social events are held throughout the year to raise funds to support the club activities. Membership fees are currently £40 for seniors & £2.50 for juniors.

We go again! Another defibrillator is registered with 999 in the North East.
Sergio caught up with cricket fans & volunteers Alec & Martin from Burnmoor Cricket-Club to celebrate the arrival of another life saving device after some successful fundraising initiatives.
Martin has volunteered to be a trusted guardian of it and will be making regular checks to ensure it’s available for use 24/7 by the general public, perfect for residents of Elba Park, the new Miller Homes Lambton Estate and Burnmoor too!!!

A busy weekend of club tournaments!!

On a soggy Saturday afternoon the Mens Doubles Tournament took place.
Jack & Graham were victorious, with Phil & Michael finishing as runners up. Paul & Ken also competed 🎾🎾☔☔

On sunny Sunday morning the Mixed Doubles Tournament took place with 5 couples in action.
Nicola & Graham finished as winners after a tie break against Helen & Fred.
Heather & Jack, Judith & Paul, Yvonne & Michael also took part 🎾🎾🌤️🌤️
