Let’s just say last week was a very busy one for us! 🏁
We started on Tuesday with a trip to Skegness for practice, with Mia and Alfie in their Minis and bangers, Ella in the 1400 Stock Car and Oliver in his banger. The evening then saw Mia, Alfie and Oliver all racing their bangers at the meeting. Mia had a few crashes along the way,Alfie ended up rolling his car, while Oliver managed to save his car ready for the following day. It was a long drive home, arriving at around 1am!
Wednesday started early, with everyone loading the wagons and getting the cars ready for Venray, while also loading the truck ready for Lynn that evening. They headed to Lynn, arriving as the meeting was starting, and quickly got strapped in and ready to race.
Ella raced her 1400 Stock Car and drove really well, finally bringing it home with zero damage! Oliver was back out in his banger for a second night. Unfortunately, after surviving Tuesday, the car didn’t make it through Wednesday, so he has a bit of work ahead of him! 😂
After the meeting, they headed home, finished loading the wagons and set off again at around 1am, making their way down to the port ready to catch the ferry to Holland.
The next day, they headed over to Holland for the European Championship at Venray. Mia was racing her brand-new car and, most importantly, competing in her last ever National Ministox meeting. 🥹
We also hired out our other car to Jurre Van de Water, who drove incredibly well for his first time in a Ministox and did a fantastic job getting to grips with the bumper work.
Although Mia didn’t achieve the results she was hoping for at Venray, she has absolutely loved every minute of her four years racing National Ministox. There have been plenty of highs, lows, crashes, memories and friendships along the way, and we couldn’t be prouder of everything she has achieved. ❤️
They finally arrived home on Monday evening, ready to get back into their usual routines the following day!
And with that, National Ministox is officially over and out… until Emmy ends up in one in a few years’ time! 🫣🏁
What a journey it’s been! ❤️
