Mum (Liz) broke her foot a couple of weeks ago in a freak accident and had an op this week to put screws in. We got chatting about the importance of being active not only in preventing injury but also in supporting you when random injuries like this occur.

“One minute you’re rushing around and the next you can’t. These past couple of weeks have brought home to me the functional benefits of a regular yoga practice as well as strength training. Standing on one leg is a really useful skill (thanks Ade for all the rocket yoga) and so is strength and balance. My upper body strength from training has helped enormously and given me the stamina to stay mobile.”

Mum has remained so upbeat since the accident despite it happening the day she was supposed to go on holiday and has shown gratitude for what she does have rather than what she’s lost, which definitely comes from yoga too 😜
