Comptons Short Mat Bowls Club Comptons was established in 1991 and ceased in April 2023. Some of our bowlers also represent and play at County level for the B's, A's and the Premier team.

Comptons Short Mat Bowls Club are a friendly bowls club in West Sussex with over 20 registered members of all ages. The club was established in 1991 at Forest Boys School in Comptons Lane, (hence the clubs name) before moving to their current venue at North Heath Hall. Many of the founding members still bowl for the club today, making us a mix of experienced bowlers and some who are a lot newer to

the game. Comptons compete in County Wide Division 2 after being relegated by a single point from Division 1 in 2016/17. The club has won 4 titles after winning North East Division 3 in 2002/03 and North East Division 2 in 2004/05 and North East Division 1 in 2012/13 and 2014/15. Comptons also compete in the Tuesday evening 1 mat league at Ewhurst. We roll up weekly on Thursdays between 7:30pm and 9:30pm and play regular league and friendly matches on Sundays, so there is something for all abilities.
