The most wonderful day retreat to connect and share time together. Held in the loving space of Kim and Lee have created a beautiful environment that encourages peace and tranquility.

I offered somatic and restorative yoga to bring our bodies into a state of deep rest. Relaxing the nervous system as a perfect antidote to the hectic and sometimes exhausting lives we lead.

We laughed, connected, ate, enjoyed saunas, hot tubs, cold pool swimming and sunshine.

Most of all, we appreciated each other and the time we had honoured for ourselves to heal and rest.

I am so deeply grateful to everyone who came and continues to support these wonderful offerings. They wouldn’t be possible without you 🤍

We often don’t chat about the pelvic floor, especially for you guys and it’s really important, especially as we age!

The pelvic floor is a group of muscles and connective tissues that stretch like a hammock from the p***c bone to the tailbone.

For men, it supports:

· The bladder and bowel

· The prostate

· The sexual organs

These muscles play key roles in urination, bowel movements, sexual function, posture, and core stability.

The prostate gland sits just below the bladder and in front of the re**um, wrapped around the urethra, the tube that carries urine and semen out of the body.
The pelvic floor muscles surround and support these structures, forming a kind of “sling” underneath them.

Pelvic floor exercises improve blood flow, nerve function, and muscular support around the prostate; aiding recovery and easing tension that can contribute to inflammation or pain.

🌱A simple practice to connect with something greater than yourself.

🌎 Walking on the earth, connecting to what’s important and easily overlooked. When we walk barefoot on the earth (I’m just in my back garden) we can absorb the energy of Mother Earth. This very simple practice helps us to ground, root and stabilise. Even better if there are the soft sounds of nature around us.

🐦‍⬛ Notice the shift in the body. Feel the sensations underfoot. Hear the sounds around you. Soften the gaze and breathe fully, slowly and intentionally.

As a Yoga Therapist, these are my 3 favourite restorative yoga shapes!

🌱 Supported Bridge Pose (Setu Bandhasana) variation. A nervous system reset. It helps to relieve anxiety and stress by calming the fight-or-flight response.

🌱 Supported Legs Up the Wall pose (Viparita Karani) variation. Helps relieve tension, alleviates headaches and lower back pain. Acts as a passive inversion to reduce leg swelling, lower blood pressure and induce deep relaxation.

🌱 Supported side lying twist (Parsva Savasana). By utilising props to eliminate muscular effort, this allows for deep relaxation and increased flexibility in the lumbar spine, rib cage, and intercostal muscles, along with calming sensation for the nervous system.

I’d love to hear from you if you are curious about yoga therapy and how it can support your emotional and physical wellbeing. 💛

Guided breathing and the difficulty when the breath is too long. How can you guide yourself to find a place of harmony and allow the exhale to gradually extend. Relaxing the body and breath to bring about a sense of ease and regulation. No pressure at all, come as you are and just notice the pause. Consider the exhale and how you’d like it to show up! Maybe for today just notice that you are breathing…….

Cover picture of two beautiful creatures in my life finding their breath 🤣 Humphrey 🐢 just takes it all in his stride, slowing it down…….

🎉Well this is exciting!🎉

I’m delighted to share that I am now accredited with the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) here in the UK.

This accreditation reflects a commitment to high standards of safe, ethical, and evidence-informed practice, following my Yoga Therapy qualification (600 hours with ).

Yoga therapy is not just about movement—it’s a personalised, holistic approach that can support physical health, emotional wellbeing, and nervous system regulation. Whether you’re managing stress, recovering from injury, living with a long-term condition, managing menopause symptoms or simply looking to feel more balanced, yoga therapy meets you where you are.

In my practice, I integrate breathwork, gentle movement, and tailored therapeutic techniques to support each individual’s needs. My aim is to create a space that feels safe, supportive, and empowering—where real, sustainable change can happen.

If you’re curious about how yoga therapy could support you, I’d love to connect and explore what might be helpful for you.

As our body changes during Peri and Post Menopause, some of us experience significant symptoms that impact our life. The hormonal changes we experience may affect sleep, fatigue, stress levels, brain fog, joint pain, mood fluctuations, overwhelm, night sweats, hot flashes, loss of libido, vaginal dryness to name just a VERY few symptoms.

EVERY woman will experience this transition, although some will ‘sail through’ not noticing the changes. Some will find these changes extremely difficult and disruptive, affecting work, home life and relationships.

Perhaps it’s you? Are you feeling stressed, overwhelmed, lonely and not sure how to find a moment of calm?

Nourishing our bodies through gentle movement, rest and space to reflect may help to navigate the way ahead. To find out what yoga therapy may offer you and your beautiful body please get in touch.

Considering intentions, sankalpas and how often I am present enough during my day to come back to them/it. I recognise that like most of us I’m so busy charging to the next thing, that coming back to the moment and staying present enough to remember my sankalpa is a rare moment.

So, intention for the day is to be mindful of the mindful thoughts and moments!

Have a lovely day everyone 🌸✨🌸

How to tend to your “Inner Soil” this week:

🌱 Clear the Weeds and make space for growth: spend less time on the habits, situations, people or voices that drain your energy. What no longer serves you?

🌸 Add Compost to fertilise and nurture: reflect on lessons and how these can be embedded for the future you. What fuels you? Makes you feel better?

💦 Hydrate: Seek out the people and hobbies that pour back into you. What really nutures your inner being?

💛 Rest: Create space & breathe. What can be removed from your schedule to bring a moment of calm? How can you oxygenate your roots?

Go lightly in the week and remember just to breathe. All will be well x
