MY LATEST REVIEW

I highly recommend Emma. At 2 years old my son had gone from sleeping through the night to waking up all the time and we couldn’t really understand why. After 18 months of trying everything we finally sought help and contacted Emma. As soon as I spoke to Emma on the phone it was a breath of fresh air, I felt Emma completely understood what we were going through, she asked questions without judging us and seem to get to the bottom of why my son was not sleeping anymore. As my son is now 4 years old, we decided to go for the deluxe package and 4 weeks of support as we thought his current sleeping habits might be harder to break. We started our plan and, I’m not going to lie, it was tough to start with but we stuck at it, Emma supported us, kept offering advice and encouraged us the whole way through. I’m so pleased to say 3 weeks into the plan, he was going to sleep on his own and sleeping through the night again. Not only did Emma support us through our journey she also supported and advised me on my own mental health and gave me the confidence to seek the help I needed. We’re finally back into a happy and healthy routine and couldn’t have done it without Emma’s help.

A LOVELY REVIEW FROM A HAPPIER AND MORE RESTED MUMMY;

"Emma really helped us at a time it was very needed, I would massively recommend her if you are looking for some help. I was struggling with the impact returning to work had on my son, breast feeding had increased, separation anxiety was strong and impacting his sleep, as a mum ... there was major burn out. Emma offered us a non judgmental ear and practical advise, it was a bit of a journey as we broke it into two chunks (feeding and then sleeping). There were times staying on track was tough and she was on hand (via text message) with words of encouragement. Two months later our son is sleeping in his cot and feeding is much more manageable... a success for me and my family! Thank you Emma :)"

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but attachment parenting in a detached society is exhausting.
No. It’s not your baby.
There is nothing wrong with them if they want to be held all the time.
No. It’s not you.
You’re not doing it wrong.
Your feelings of exhaustion and depletion and being touched out are normal- considering the weight you’re carrying. Those feelings, and the deep ache underneath them - are a reminder that you were never meant to do this alone.
Babies want to be held. And we want to hold them close. Exclusive/extended breastfeeding, cosleeping, babywearing- all of these are intuitive, ancestral practices that have kept our species alive throughout history. Attachment parenting is just parenting!!
But never before have we parented in such isolation. There were always other hands stirring the soup pot, other aunties, and sisters, and uncles and grandmas, and cousins, and neighbors helping with the daily tasks and child rearing. Other arms carrying the weight of raising humanity. Together.
And now, it’s just you. Alone in the kitchen, trying to stir the soup and bounce the baby and play with the toddler and keep an eye on the big kid and answer the phone and sweep up the mess and tackle the laundry and .....
No matter how magical your baby wrap is — it can’t take the place of a whole village.
So no, you’re not doing it wrong. You’re just trying to stay connected in a world set on tearing you apart.
But don’t give up mama. I know you’re tired and touched out, but you’re giving your baby exactly what she needs. And maybe one day, when she’s raising her own babies, there will be a village around her, helping her hold it all together.

Emma Smith went from "bed dread" to "sleepy head" in just four weeks with support from My Baby Sleep Coach. Here's what she said...

"If you'd have told us that not only could we have a baby that sleeps for 11 hours straight, but also that it could get to a point where bedtime is hassle and tear free, I would never have believed you!
Emma is very professional and caring, and worked with us to understand the right approach for our family for getting our 9 month old daughter to sleep. She took the time to understand our story (which also felt like a very therapeutic counselling session for us), and delivered our sleep plan to our inbox in less than 24 hours. She was then on text support for a whole four weeks to answer any sleep related queries (and join in our celebrations of success), and provided a very helpful catch up call half way through our time with her.
All in all, we've been thoroughly impressed with Emma's expertise, responsiveness, and level of support. The package we chose was worth far more than the monetary value we paid (and much cheaper than other individuals we had considered previously). The bed dread we once had is now gone, and I'd recommend her services to anyone who is having issues with their child's sleep."

A LOVELY REVIEW FROM ONE OF MY RECENT CLIENTS

When we got in touch with Emma our 10 month old daughter was waking up every 90 minutes during the night, and her naps during the day were around 30 minutes. We were exhausted! Emma has helped a lot by building up our confidence and reassuring us we were doing the right thing. We have managed to get our daughter to self settle during the day so it was a matter of doing the same during the night. This is when Emma has joined the team, has made a sleep plan for us and has helped us implement it. With her help we have understood what we were doing wrong and how to correct it. She has been very flexible and supported the changes we have made to the sleeping plan based on what was actually working for us. In a matter of 4 weeks we went from co-sleeping and waking up every 90 minutes, to sleeping in her cot, in her own room and waking up once or twice during the night. Her day sleep has also improved, it used to be around 30 minutes, now she will sleep between 1 to 2 hours. There is still work to do, but we are on the right path. We highly recommend Emma, she will do all her best to help.

Is it your back to school day? Dropped off the older one(s) and now have a to-do list as long as your arm?

Just sit for a second. Make a cup of tea. If you have small ones at home, give them an extra squeeze or promise an activity just for them. But for right this second, it’s OK to take a moment, if you can. It’s been a while.

To all those sleep deprived mums out there. You don't get any medals for getting up everyday and just getting on with it...

A testimonial from my latest happy customer....

"We have just finished our time with Emma and I cannot recommend her enough. I knew when I first spoke to Emma that we were so nearly there but we needed that boost of confidence and support to get us 'over the line.' Prior to working with Emma my daughter, who was 9 months when we started, had a dummy - something I was keen to change. My little girl has developmental delay as a result of a rare condition and as such is unlikely to be able to put her dummy in herself anytime soon which meant there was a lot of going in and out of her bedroom to put the dummy back in. We were keen to give her as much independence with her sleep as possible and try and encourage self-soothing. Emma was fantastic, she took a detailed background; taking the time to understand Izzy's condition and ensure that any advice she gave us was appropriate. Emma was very easy to contact and so supportive. As a result of Emma's advice Izzy is now dummy free and able to self soothe much better both at night and also during the day. After weeks of trawling the internet wondering what methods would be appropriate for Izzy I am so pleased we made the decision to enlist Emma's help and get some tailored advice. Thank you Emma!"

Another happy customer review; this is what Jazz said about her 11 month old daughter, Frankie, after spending her time with My Baby Sleep Coach. Jazz was worried about going back to work because Frankie was waking so frequently in the night....

"Emma was very supportive and responded to me straight away when I was asking questions during the sleep training. She reassured me and encouraged me throughout. She let me go at my own pace and was very positive about the whole process. Emma reminded me that is was a journey and that sometimes we will go two steps forward and one step back but that it was normal and ok for that to happen. My little one is nearly 11 months and hasn’t slept through the night once until I started the sleep training and by the third night she slept for 12 hours and then 11 hours the night after! Yes it was hard work, but I knew she was ok, thanks to Emma. However, by night 5, my little girl didn’t seem herself so I didn’t do the sleep training that night but I know now when the time is right I can do it again. As Emma has said to me it’s a tool I can use when I feel it’s right, which made me feel positive about doing it again. Thank you so much, I’m so glad I got in touch."
