Our brand new East Thurrock Community FC U16 Raiders home and away kits have arrived… and we absolutely love them.

The home kit keeps that bold East Thurrock look with the classic yellow and black, while the away kit gives us something completely different with a striking purple and white design.

What a way to introduce yourself to league football with the Raiders.

New to the team this season, Blossom was an absolute nightmare for the AFC Leyton defence today! Her pace, movement and attacking play caused problems throughout, topped off with TWO brilliant goals in our 2–2 draw. ⚽️⚽️

But it wasn’t just the goals — a fantastic all-round performance, loads of determination and a great contribution to the team.

A very well-deserved Player of the Match.

Raiders 2–2 AFC Leyton

Our Raiders were buzzing to finally get their A Division campaign underway today, and against a strong AFC Leyton side we were treated to a brilliant game of football.

The first half saw both teams playing some great football, with through balls, chances and some fantastic build-up play.

After 20 minutes, the breakthrough finally came. Madie D played a lovely ball through to Blossom, who calmly slotted it home for the Raiders’ first A Division goal.

And Blossom wasn’t finished there…

A perfectly executed free kick from Bailey Mc found Blossom inside the box, and she volleyed home her second of the game.

HALF TIME | Raiders 2–0 AFC Leyton

We knew the second half would bring a response, and Leyton came back out determined. They pulled one back before a free-kick decision that we might have seen a little differently 👀 gave them the opportunity to find an equaliser.

2–2. Game on.

But one thing these girls have shown time and time again is that they never give up. They kept working, kept battling and gave absolutely everything right until the final whistle.

FULL TIME | 2–2

Of course, after leading 2–0 there’ll be things to look back on and learn from — but this was our first ever A Division league game, against a strong side, and every single Raider gave 100%.

The new kits have been slightly delayed, so no team shots just yet… 📸 But we couldn’t wait any longer to introduce our 2026/27 squad.

A massive well done to every single player for the hard work, commitment and effort they’ve put in over the off-season and throughout pre-season.

Bailey Mc has once again proved herself and will retain the Captain’s armband for another season, leading the Raiders into our new challenge. 👏 👏

After all the build-up, pre-season preparation and excitement, league football finally returns this Sunday.

There’s been a slight change to our opening fixture. We were due to travel away to AFC Leyton, but because of pitch availability the fixture has been switched — which means the Raiders will now begin the 2026/27 season AT HOME.

It’s a big one for the girls, as this will officially be the Raiders’ first ever league game in the A Division. 🖤💛

Last season’s B Division title earned us promotion and the opportunity to test ourselves at the next level. Pre-season has allowed us to experience some A Division opposition already, but Sunday is when the real journey begins.

The girls are excited, ready to get going and looking forward to seeing what this new challenge brings.

We earned our place here. Now it’s time to enjoy it and give it everything.

Growing from 4 teams to 9 teams — an amazing achievement and a huge step forward for the club.

With more teams comes more football, and we’re now looking for referees to help cover our youth matches throughout the season.

If you’re a qualified referee and would be interested in getting involved, we’d love to hear from you.
