As we wrap up our final Goal of the Month of the season, itโ€™s a chance to look back on some fantastic football and some brilliant finishes that helped cap off an unforgettable campaign.

For our final game of the season, we decided to do something a little different.

Todayโ€™s award goes to two people who have been massive throughout the season โ€” our coaches Darren and Scott ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’™

Week in, week out theyโ€™ve given their time, energy and dedication to the girls. From planning training sessions, pushing standards, building confidence, and supporting every playerโ€™s development, their hard work behind the scenes has played a huge role in everything this squad has achieved.

A big shout out also goes to Callan and Andy, who have been just as important in helping drive this team forward all season. The effort from the whole coaching team has been incredible, and the girls are lucky to have such strong support around them.

๐ŸšŒ Away vs Valley Green Valkyries

The Raiders finished the league season in style with a brilliant away performance, showing exactly why they have sat at the top of the table all season.

The first half was a strong display of confidence, quality and teamwork, with the girls taking control early and scoring three goals in the opening 40 minutes.

The opening goal came from Madie, finishing well after a great assist from Kadie. Not long after, Kadie got herself on the scoresheet, with the assist coming from Captain Bailey, before the roles reversed for the third goal โ€” Kadie provided again and Bailey slotted home to make it 1โ€“3 at half time.

The second half brought no drop in determination. Valley Green continued to battle hard and managed to claw it back to 2โ€“3, but the Raiders responded in the best possible way.

Kenaya extended the lead with a well-taken goal, assisted by Madie, before the final goal of the game came from Madie, with yet another assist from Kadie to cap off a fantastic team performance and secure the win.
Full Time: 2โ€“5 Raiders.

To finish the league season with 48 points from 18 games, and to be at least 8 points clear, is a brilliant achievement and shows the consistency this squad has delivered week in, week out.

While the goalscorers deserve huge credit, every single player played their part today. From the defenders holding strong, the midfield working tirelessly, to the forwards creating and finishing chances, this was a complete squad performance and a perfect way to end the season.

This team has shown incredible growth, commitment and togetherness throughout the campaign, and every player should be proud to be part of a back-to-back league winning side ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ†

A massive thank you also goes to the coaches and manager for their hard work, dedication and belief in the girls week in, week out โ€” none of this would be possible without them.

No match for the Raiders today, but letโ€™s take a moment to look back at last weekโ€™s hard-fought away win.

We knew it was always going to be a tight game and one that could be decided by a single goalโ€ฆ and thatโ€™s exactly how it played out.

A brilliant ball from Ellen found Jessica, who took on the defender and calmly slotted home the only goal of the game to secure the win ๐Ÿ‘Šโšฝ๏ธ

A strong player who is not to be messed with. Baileyโ€™s ball control, passing, and shots on goal were outstanding once again, but what really stood out today was her work rate and determination. Todayโ€™s league fixture against FC Redwing was always going to be a tough battle, and it certainly lived up to expectations with both teams putting in a strong performance.

The first half started well with great football being played from both sides. The Raiders began to grow into the game, creating chances and pushing forward, but the FC Redwing goalkeeper pulled off a number of excellent saves to keep the score level.

At the break, it remained 0โ€“0.

A change of ends and a strong team talk at half time was exactly what was needed. The second half started with the Raiders looking sharper, with new positions, fresh energy, and balls being fired into the box as the pressure increased.

The breakthrough came 20 minutes into the second half when Jessica picked up the ball and had one thing on her mind. A brilliant run forward and perfect ex*****on saw her finish clinically to score the gameโ€™s first and only goal. 0โ€“1 Raiders.

FC Redwing continued to push hard for an equaliser, but the Raiders held their own and stayed organised to see the game out.
